I seem to remember reading/hearing that Miami wouldn't have any national games this year (other than the preseason HOF game) due to last year's 4-12 record. However, aren't all the Saturday games the league traditionally schedules near the end of the regular season televised nationally? Tell me what you know.

No. Not when almost every game is being played on Saturday. Saturday near Christmas this year is like a regular Sunday. There's 1 or 2 games on Sunday and maybe 1 on Monday, I don't remember.

No. Not always. I know for sure there isn't a monday night game at the end of the season.

The game will be nationally televised on cds... We didn't get any PRIMETIME nationally televised games this year

Because Christmas and New Year's Day both fall on Sunday this year, the NFL is moving most of its Week 16 games to Christmas Eve, but will play most of its Week 17 games on New Year's Day. Therefore, unless Tennessee goes on about a 10-game winning streak, the Tennessee/Miami game on Christmas eve will be a regional telecast. San Diego/Kansas City appears to be the most likely "national" selection for the early game.

Nope the Falcons-pats game is the nationally televised one.
