All the news reguarding Manning and how he's driven to win a few more Superbowls, and how he doesnt want to be in NY to steal his brothers thunder, and how he's been working hard to ready himself- all makes me think back to the Drew Brees situation where people were afraid of his injury and we passed- then look what happened. Will we do this again with even a more accomplished qb and will it bite us again? It'll be "shame on us" if we do. Imo Im for signing him and even selecting a QB in the first to cover all basis. Worst case senerio we have the best qb coach to come around here in a long time.

Drew Brees wasn't going on 36 years old and his injury was something a good athlete could rehabilitate from and not something that was entirely dependent on the whim of whichever deity you choose to worship.

Does ANYONE remember how poorly peyton played when he came back from his last injury?

He still can't even practice, he's been out for over a year. His ENTIRE game was based on the quality of his wr's & te, and on his EXTREME familiarity with them & that system.

If we sign him, or if any team signs him he will not have any of those things. He will be older and he won't be able to run the colts hurry up offense without the colts wrs and te. It is a sad, strange fantasy. I would not bet on him having a happy return to the NFL if he chooses to leave the colts
