Will we retire Zach's Number?

Should the Dolphins retire Zach Thomas' number #54?

I know Zach will retire as a Dolphin whenever the times comes, but should the Miami Dolphins organization retire Zach's Number #54??
 
I know its "only a number" but I will hate whoever next wears his #54!

Retire the number Miami please!
 
And a few years we will see 99 next to 54 on the honour roll around the stadium ;-)
 
Yes, but probably not right away....give it a year or two. Put him in the Ring of Honor on the same day we retire his number.

When the time comes we should (and I believe will) retire his number. I expect that he'll be inducted into the Ring of Honor as well.
 
it has to be retired the man is going into the hall of fame one day and he is one of the greatest dolphins to ever put on the uniform and i am damn proud i got to see him play
 
I don't know who's choice it is or how they go about deciding if they retire a players # but I would like to not see anyone else wear the 54 again...its Zach's.
 
He's the greatest Dolphin defender to ever play. He's probably going to be a Hall of Fame player. He's a 7 time all-pro. But i'm still not sure that they'll officially retire his number. I know he'll get on the honor roll/Hall of Fame thing, that's a given. But a retired number is a BIG BIG thing. The Dolphins have had many many great players over the years and only three have had retired numbers. It will be interesting to see if they retire it.
 
I think they should retire his number, but not sure if they will. Hopefully nobody will wear 54 or they have some very big shoes to fill.
 
We need to keep in mind that in the long glorious history of the Dolphins that ONLY 3 numbers have been retired. Griese, Marino and Csonka. As great as Zach is does he deserve to be the 4th Dolphin to get a number retired? Nick Buoniconti is in the HOF and his number has not been retired.

Edit: Grrr....SpaceMountain16 posted pretty much the same thing while I was registering :)
