I was thinking about the new potential wrinkles we might add into the Wildcat, and then I started thinking from Belichick's perspective. My first thought was to try and steal the playbook and/or get cameras installed on Miami's practice field, but then I wondered whether the best way to plan on defending the Wildcat is to install it into your own offense.
Now I think there's a good chance the Fins will have new wrinkles, and if you're Belichick, you're trying to anticipate what those wrinkles might be so you can show them to your team and have them practice against them a few times. If you're Belichick do you put yourself in Miami's shoes and say, what might I do with the personnel I've (Miami) got, and just draw up a few plays?
If you've drawn them up, might as well have your offense practice them for your defense and ta-da, now you can even use them against the Fins to give them a dose of their own medicine. That would sure feel sweet wouldn't it...
Would you put it past Belichick? I'm sure he's still smartin' from week 3.
EDIT: Just saw jreg1's thread on a similar subject...
