I am just re-watching the game and am completely impressed with how Damien Williams catches the ball. There were a few plays where I literally thought he was Clay. He contributed some great catches and is still only a rookie. This could be a huge asset as a third down back. I have not concentrated on his blocking or blitz pickup, but I defiantly see potential.

Still mad about that drop in the Pats game........but yes, he has good hands and looked strong against the Vikings.

I'm really impressed with this year's draft and Udfa pick ups. I think we get another class like this, we'll be on our way. We need DT's. Didn't think I'd be saying that. But our DT's aren't dominating.

Ridiculous he was not playing earlier in the year. Many here were calling for it, but of course Daniel Thomas had to get the reps.

Williams had his chances throughout the season, didn't really bring anything to the table. It was nice to see him shine for a moment yesterday but I hope he doesn't keep us from upgrading the position.

i don't think he got the chances that he needed, kid has the IT factor, unlike DT, thats what makes me queasy about philbin

Not impressed so far. Had a ball in his bread basket and he drops it. Couple of decent plays this past week but that's it. Of course I hope he becomes something and contributes.

Philbin does not pull the trigger fast enough with these up and coming guys. I don't know what it is... It's as if politics play a role in his decision making to start guys. Fox Played better than Thomas at RT and the only comment Joe can muster was " he played alright". Joe is very hesitant to make obvious adjustments. Is it pride? I can't put my finger on it

Anyone else find this topic slightly ironic just one week after he dropped a perfectly thrown TD pass? :idk:

Yeah I'm not sure what these guys are watching. I guess they just need to word a new post differently so they can keep bashing Philbin without being accused of bashing Philbin. Same rhetoric. I don't see the fascination with this guy right now

That is fair, but we all saw his "quicks and fell fwd consistently. Plus, he was always solid in the passing game picking up the blitz and had good hands (outside that drop in NE lol).

Yes. LOL. I have always liked the kid. Wished he got reps before Thomas.

He made some tough catches last game. He dropped a TD pass against the Pats. He probably needs more opportunities to be consistent. From the small sample size I would say his hands are better than Miller's.

Before yesterdays game Thomas was ranked ahead of him in both rushing and receiving.

Guess you guys are forgetting that huge 3rd and like 18 conversion he had 4 or 5 weeks back. Everyone on the team has dropped a few. Even Wallace and Landry.
