Just kicking tires but how would you feel about a williams trade straight up ricky for roy and if this is no good what would be a trade offer

No thanks. Roy Williams would help the running game and I like the 1 -2 punch we have. If Ronnie gets injured, I'm not sure Cobb would scare anyone.

I don't think Ricky has any trade value. He's yet to prove anything plus 31 year old running backs rarely hold much value. The Lions will want at least a 2nd round pick, probably more. Wide receiver is one of the hardest positions to fill. The Lions know that all too well and won't let Williams get away cheap.

Ricky doesn't have much trade value based on his past and the fact that he has stated he really only wants to play two more years(including this one).

Having a nice compliment to Brown is the best thing for our running back position. Ronnie had a mega day, but he had the luxury of getting some plays off with Ricky also getting some carries.

I would love to add Roy Williams, but including Ricky is not a smart deal for either team.

The WildCat Formation never would've worked if we didn't have Ricky. Having 2 GOOD RBs right now makes us dangerous. Now that we actually put them both out on the field at the same time and fake the ball to one or hand the ball off to the other...teams don't know what to do.

It'd be nice to have Roy...but I'd rather have Ricky.

No because the threat of Ricky or Ronnie getting their hands on the ball is what makes the Wildcat formation so affective. No one gets to the outside on that fake like ricky does (he trips a couple of times lol)

Why would Detroit do that trade? Ricky doesn't have much trade value at all compared to Roy Williams.

If Detroit wants a second keep in mind that we have two 2nd round picks this year. He is definately worth it. A quick fix to one of our biggest problems on our team. It would take much needed pressure off Ginn and onto Williams.

just kicking this around but how would you feel if we decided not to run the wild cat formation again?

Stupid thread. The Lions want futures for a guy like that since they are rebuilding.. And the Fish are in no position to give up futures since they are rebuilding.

Bad trade partners.

If Detroit did a trade like that (Roy for Ricky Williams), then it's not only Matt Millen's fault.

:rotfl1:
if detroit did this trade it would be the first time in a VERY LONG time that matt millen would not be at fault in any way
