Wilson To Be Outside Receiver Not Slot.

CK has a tremendous breakdown on this on Twitter, showing the diversity doing this offers in various formations. You can say a lot about the way this offense has sputtered over the past few years, but if there are elements being included from the Andy Reid/Matt Nagy offense that basically burned the Patriots to the ground Week 1 last year, I'm all for it.
 
You can call a guy a boundary just by lining him up on the outside of the formation. I think gase is calling amendola a true slot cause he will be working the true 2 way go and sticks concepts.

We’ll see. Tight formations and maybe occasional outside in 2 wr sets I can see given his long speed.

12 personnel gives you a lot of free release and off coverage on the outside

Well only can have so many players on the field in the slot- add Ford to that mix probably also.

We need outside WR’s- roster is limited there, especially if Parker doesn’t play well or gets hurt.

Not sure how Wilson will be on the outside, maybe like a Grant.

It seems to me we have too many slot type WR’s but will see- if we have any injuries etc.
 
I could see Wilson lining up outside at first but then putting him in motion just about every time as a matchup piece.
 
I don't know. We only have one true slot (Amendola). Kenny Stills has played slot before, he might be the primary slot backup.

My understanding was that Grant and Wilson were viewed as outside guys all along (not they couldn't play in the slot in a pinch).

Then you you no size on the outside, expect Parker, he is only one who can play that role on the roster.

The other drafted one we gave picks for probably wont make the roster. Thats a concern to me.
 
New England plays with mostly an all slot skill set at wr. But then of course they have a true alpha tight end. Usually need one true alpha type for it to not be a weakness.

Gase betting on his scheme and tempo more than anything else.
