Was I the only one who was SOOOOOO relieved, for Linehan's sake, that we actually won the game? I seriously believe that if we had lost this game, he would've been fired at the end of the season. Just like Atlanta and NE, we have the ball down at the goalline with about 40-50 seconds left, plenty of time to run the ball, and he doesn't even run it once! I don't know what it is with this guy...it's like he doesn't realize he has Ronnie Brown back there.

And it looked even worse when they got backed up to the 6 yardline after throwing it a couple times. I think every finfan was screaming "GIVE THE BALL TO RONNIE" at their TVs before that. I know I was.

I'm overjoyed that we won, but the terrible playcalling still is a point of concern I feel.

I agree, I couldn't believe we didn't try one run in the first 2 downs..All I could think was here we go again.

Yep.

I said to my friend, "I bet you 20 bucks they don't give Ronnie the ball once."

He wouldn't take the bet.

In his defense, the clock was definitely an issue in this game. This is the one time I think he legitimately had to throw the ball.

I agree. I was pretty mad when Sage spiked the ball on first, he should of atleast handed it off to Ronnie.

They did not need to spike the ball on first down they easily could have run it with Ronnie or even let Sage try to get a yard and a half. The penalty made it worse and of all things a fade that worked. Winning does heal all in the end though.

first play shoulda been a qb sneak or run up the middle. Why spike it with just under a minute? If we score immediately at 2nd and 1, then Buffalo gets the ball and has 50 seconds to get a FG

Sage threw a TD to Welker that was called back because of a penalty. I'd say the play calling this game was decent at worst.

A rush on first down would have had them scrambling the rest of the time. I think we had to pass the ball in that situation.

Thinking the same thing as watching on the computer (Funny thing that you dont really know what is happening for sure), but actually time was pretty tight. To run the ball and then line up could have run the clock out... Glad things worked like they did.

agreed......just run a dive play. I can see it being tough for a backup to have the balls to do that though.

But, then 3 tries from the 1 and 1/2. Hand it off until you are in as opposed to having your backup QB (who played well) have to thread the needle in the end zone

actually linehan called a dazzling 4th quarter

Its nice to see so many fans of the Miami Dolphins have faith in the players and the coaches. Or would it be they don't have faith in the coaches and feel they know more about how to call a game then the coaches do?

I'm confused. Eh....either way. I'm just a simple fan that roots for my favorite team....No matter what.

I was listening on the NFL website and I could hear in the background behind the announcers people screaming "run it!". I think it this particular situation it wasn't a big mistake to throw although I do agree they could have run on first down with a minute left. It's hard though when you don't have any TO left. Not like the ATL or NE game at all when they had multiple TOs left.
