Win Thursday...

You cannot expect a team that Was content with Jesse Davis as a STARTER to win. These Dolphins SUCK! They CANNOT gain 1/2 a yard when they NEED to. Every team can pull a rabbit from their hat once in a while. What an absurd dumpster fire this team is!

"Lemming" Alert, "Lemming" Alert, "Lemming" Alert - LOL

Well... last night we saw what this team can do when it all comes together. The players don't suck or they could NEVER have pulled off the win ... much less be competitive.

My questions: Can they sustain it? Being prepared to play come game time is mostly on the coaches IMO. The players showed us they can execute the plays called ...
Can the coaching staff game plan and strategize while staying within their vision for the game?
Can the coaches adjust during the game when the vision gets blurred?

We will see... but this team doesn't suck ... they have talent ... they can be competitive ...
The coaching staff is questionable IMO

- Our D has played much better the last 2 weeks.

- Ravens are coming off a 5 quarter game and going on the road on a short week.

- Ravens have been far from dominant this season.

- This week's slate of games just included MANY upsets.

While I don't think they win I would not consider it absurd to think we can be "in it" with a chance at the end.

We need Tua though.

3-7 and then the Jets, Panthers, Giants, Jets.....

We would be a shocking 7-7 with everything to play for down the stretch.

If we did win 6 straight, games against the Saints, Titans and Pats would be intriguing in the least!

Crazy league, WHY NOT US?!?!?
Great post Bro...

Baltimore owns us, Harbaugh owns us. Miami loose big Thursday night and probably get embarrassed on national TV. I feel bad for whoever starts at QB for Miami on Thursday night with this swiss cheese of an Offensive Line. We cant run the ball, we cant keep the QB upright, its going to be ugly. Ravens will dominate in the trenches on both sides of the ball and Miami will be lucky to avoid anymore injuries.

Lamar Jackson will look like an MVP on Thursday, Miami will be afraid of his running ability and not blitz him so he will have all day to pass and even he will pick us apart at will. Miami would have to put up 30 plus points just to be in the game. Should be over by halftime, it sucks but its reality.
Didn't age well...lol

Why not, and please use facts, not just opinions to make your case.
Look, I would LOVE for the Dolphins to win their next 7 games in a row. However, taking off my aqua and orange glasses and being a bit objective:

Winning 9 games in a row is extremely difficult in the NFL (this would be Miami's win streak to end the year in this hypothetical)
27th ranked total defense
30th ranked total offense

Your point is reasonable, but doesn't take into account our improved play in the last three games.

I see that we are trending up in terms of playing very competitive football, and yesterdays game was a solid victory over a very good team.

Don't hand me the "if we beat them they can't be good" nonsense, because that's not what their W-L record implies!

It was a solid victory and the Ravens are a good team. My concern is just that Miami still has a very weak running game, an OL that allows way too much pressure on the QB, and a receiving corp that is pretty much "day to day" for each week's game. It is extremely hard for me to see a run of 9 straight victories with these flaws.

Yes, the defense played better recently though. It will be interesting to see if a switch was turned on or if it has been the opposition hasn't been that great (Jags and Falcons). They did shut down the Ravens last night though so that is a step in the right direction. I just hope it was more the defensive effort by the Dolphins and not just an off game by the Ravens.

Watch the first two defensive drives - dolphin players body language looked defeated….

The ravens had a trap game.

The Dolphins D got momentum….

Why are we sitting here 3 and ****ing 7? Why?????

Because Flores has a dose of the Jeffersons 1970s tv drama going on here. I mean seriously - Lionel got engaged to his white girlfriend?

The Bills destroyed our season because Flores is cute by 1/2 with his running backs and drafting NOT Jonathan Taylor. Third and 1/2 a yard. A big dude running hard gets everybody going.

And by the way with our 9 draft picks in rounds 1 and 2….do not EVER stop investing in o line guys until the o line is FIXED….until we maul guys! Buy guys too - ****in pay em….

Seriously we were 1st and goal at the 1/2 yard line - imagine a team with enough of a running beast game where EVERYBODY in the stadium knows what your team will do - hand off to the beast and your team does that and still scores! Our stupid team moves backwards until it’s like 4th and 17….

Seriously reminds me of Scott Mitchell games when Marino tore his Achilles…the whole offense was designed for Marino - without him we looked hapless and feckless!

I don’t care who you are - it’s tough to be a Dolphin fan!

Flores may be moving on up but he might need to be moving on out….

It’s time to use Robert Hunt in the backfield..

"It's tough to be a Dolphin fan!"

Not for me - LOL

I don't need any self-aggrandization to justify following this team.
If they win it's great.
If they lose but played competitive football, fine.
If they get the c**p beat out of them, the boards failure analysis (no whines accepted) simply adds to my interest in and understanding of the real game.

"I want no whine until it's time". I've followed the ups & downs with Gase and Flores and at this point I'm sure of one thing - changing HC's after 3 years is an exercise in futility.
If they are really bad, you'll know in two years.
If the team is indifferent after 4 to 5 years you may need to start looking.
After 6 years there should not be any questions as to their staying or going.

It's much harder to find good coaches then to find good players.
If we do get a good coach it will take at least 4 years to organize the team and develop the coaching staff - more or less - depending on the caliber of the players on the team when the new HC arrived.

I suspect good GM's may be easier to find then good coaches because of the strong "business" oriented part of their job's and the support of a scouting organization that is already in place and he or she will be stuck with. The scouting organization may be good or bad, but in either case, it's up to a new GM to use what he has and fix what he hasn't.
