I create the poll because there is a lack of intellectual honesty when it comes to posters

People hate the word tank and the tanking has only started with FA and cuts

Wait till we lose 10 straight

People say we aren’t in it to win but we won’t gamble our future to win it all either? We are in no position to gamble lol

The posture of this FO is preparing the fan base for losing - in the past 20 years we have tinkered a lot - even thought we were competitive in the division lol

We the AFCE have greased the Pats into the POs we are too blame for their success as much as anyone

Something had to change - Ross is an old fart

Trying to tank for no.1 overall is certainly different than tanking and allowing the pieces to fall where they may but if an organization isn’t out to win

They are going to let the chips fall they will coast through this season and maybe another

So if you are not attempting to put a product on the field

Then the self-fulling prophecy is certainly not far behind

Gase wanted to win and he is out

Your bookend just walked - he wasn’t great but he leaves a hole on the

Coach gets 5 year bubble - wha has he earned to get more than 3 - he has leverage because they are planning to rebuild from square one

Starting signed Qb gets no public praise that he is the starter

Word is he is being shopped lol

We will fail fast

Read the tea leaves

It is a yes or no question - Ghost

You can look at any sport - even tennis

If you are not exploring planning winning in the present then.... what?

Here is what an NFL head coach thought about winning and losing on purpose.

Winning is habit forming, unfortunately, so is losing.

Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing.

Winning is not everything, but wanting to win is.

Winners never quit, and quitters never win.

Once you learn to quit, it becomes habit.

His name was Vince Lombardi.

And what is the current FO doing tay? Be frank

A once proud organization has conceded hasn’t it?

The welfare system within the league and league structure wasn't the same during Lombardi's day. The league is different now.

You could build a team and keep it together back then. You can't do that now.

Furthermore, it wasn't all about the quarterback and only the quarterback back then. It was about the team. It's all about the QB now - and if you don't have an elite QB - you do whatever it takes to get one.

Miami has formed plenty of bad habits by not being honest with themselves. Thinking you can win when you can't is a bad habit.

If you're not using the way the league is set up to benefit bad teams to your advantage, then you're not trying to win. It's just different now.

I agree with you. The has failed in many, this is why the team needs to work on getting the mentality of the team fixed, the product of talent fixed, before being worried about drafting high enough to get the next franchise QB.

Miami last year before Tannehill went down, and sliding to the Patriots in NE (which is a place nobody beats NE), was playing well enough to at one point leading the AFC East, they were also actually keeping up with NE, and in the playoff picture most the year before with Tannehill, and Jay Cutler at QB, and finally in Gase's 1st year Miami started horribly, then got on a role, before again losing Tannehill.

So what in my opinion made Miami compete each year with many player being lost for the year? Confidence, trust in each other, and a will of not willing to lose. I believe Miami has a good nucleus to get a successful team, but they need to do a few things, or we will be seeing the next HC IN 3 years, no matter who we Draft this year or 2020 at QB...

1. Fix both side of the line already.

2. Evaluate why every year Miami's injuries more then not result in end of season injuries.

3. Get players that have proven to love football, and are team players, not individuals that are great, but all about them.

Why do teams like the Patriots, Steelers, Ravens, Cowboys, Seahawks, Saints able to continue to win no matter where they draft, or who they lose.

If you're playing a chess game and you plan on a check-mate on three moves, does that mean on your next move you're setting up yourself to lose? Don't be so square guys. All we're doing is not trying to win the game in one move anymore. That's what weak players do and we've seen the results.

I somewhat Disagree, I agree you do need a QB, but the team mentality is still most important. This is why many teams with good QBs don't win anything until the other players start buying into the program, and why teams like the Eagles, Giants, or a Broncos team with a broken down Peyton Manning can still win championships.

Obviously your right that it's now a passing league, and the QB is critical to success, but if the other aspects of the team are not there, you will see a great QB wasting away each year.
