I know we need to take one game at a time, but if we can win the games we are supposed to win, we have a good chance to win 10 games this year. BUT the fins always have problems with teams we are supposed to beat......

I think this year you are seeing us overachieve a little... I think Chad has picked up the level of play on offence immensely and same for Joey on D... We need EVERYONE to play well to win on any given sunday which is asking alot and might help to xplain the schizophrenic record...

Also losing the 'easy' ones is a hallmark of a young team as getting up for 'Big games' is usually alot easier for the young guys...

I am glad there is a thread dedicated to this topic. It is a pretty good discussion piece for evaluating our performance midseason. Truthfully, I am not sure the evidence points to the conclusion that we have lost the "easy ones". I am certainly open to being proven wrong, but I want to suggest that none of our losses could be considered upsets, where we lost to an opponent we should have beaten handily.

Our losses were to the Jets, Cards, Texans, Ravens. 3 of those teams (Jets, Cards, Ravens) are 5-3 including 2/potentially 3 division leaders. Based on the standings as of now all 3 of those teams would be in the playoffs. The Texans were 0-4 before our game, but they went on to win 3 games straight (something we haven't done yet), always play us strong, and, if a couple of plays swung different for them, they could easily be 5-3. Even if you don't like theoretical swing plays, they still only have one fewer loss then we do.

I hate all losses, and I think we should win all games, but I think if the Seahawks beat us, people may actually call it an upset. I don't think our other losses qualify.

WHat do you think?

Good points. Looking ahead at our schedule I see us be favorites against:
Seattle, Oakland, Rams, 49ers, and KC... If we can win these games we have a good chance of maybe going to the playoffs........ I still think Houston beating us was an upset.....
