That's the mark of a GOOD team!

And the Jets played balls out - they seemed to fold up a bit in the last 2 minutes - dragging to the line to snap the ball- they had so little confidence in Smith and the passing game - they looked like they were at best fighting being beaten.

That was a great and gutsy victory - a crucial game.

Every time a team wins in the NFL the next week is that much more challenging to "snatch the pebble from the hand".

The NFL has tremendous parity. Put a couple of QB's or top pass rushers from a top team on a bottom team and wallah! Manning instead of Tebow...RGIII gets injured Redskins spin out. Bortles starts playing well....

So the difference between top teams likely going to the playoff and lesser teams feeding at the bottom is very small.

Honestly - I am of little faith when watching games like last night's - I have been burned so many times I don't have any skin.

But my Dolphins impressed me big time.

I live in a suburb of Baltimore - my kids are Ravens fans - my neighbors fly their stupid purple flags - I hate the Ravens - but, but, but I could take a loss to the Ravens ( I think) better then what it would have done to me to see us lose to those jackass Jets...That would have killed me! They lost their superbowl last night - and we won!

Win when you suck and that's growth and that's progress.

Look out NFL this Dolphin team might put it together yet - and if they do - just think of that Charger game!

This is the same Jets team that gets up BIG for divisional games, and damn near beat the Pats AT Gillette...lost by a blocked FG, down 2 points.

Divisional games are a different monster...record doesn't matter...

The Jets threw everything but the kitchen sink at 'em in the first half, most of it worked, but they still only had 10 points. Yes, with a good QB, it may have been different, but with a good QB, would they run it 49 times? I think not. Would be a totally different scenario.

The same jets team was up on Green Bay early even more than us. They put up double the average rushing yards against the best rushing d in the league Detroit. They hung with Denver. They can play with anybody in short stretches

Don't read into my comments that I think we are Super Bowl bound, but most every year Super Bowl winners hit a bump. See last yrs Seahawks narrow win against a 2-14 texans team, or the yr before the ravens losing 4 of last 5, or the yr before with the Super Bowl champion (9-7 reg season) giants.

Point being, take the wins, learn from the losses. Take the W and move on...
