Sigh

Just another reason to fire Mularkey. I just kept yelling at the tv "JUST DOWN IT! JUST DOWN IT"....and of course to my surprise, Lemon throws an interception. And I am not knocking Lemon at all. He did great in his first NFL start and I am proud of him.

The playcalling on the otherhand is mind boggiling. We were going to get the ball to start off the second half. I would of taken a 6-14 halftime score. Did Mularkey actually think that, in his first NFL start, Cleo would of lead the Fins down the field with 15 seconds to work with?!?! I think he thought he had Manning for the Fins or something. I think some of the blame has to go to Saban on that too.

And another thing that is BEYOND frustrating...we abandon the run. I could call a better game from my living room over my cell phone.

i know, that was a bad play, that would have made the last drive for the win with a field goal, but we were in the red zone alot and they got conservative down there

I know, it was a horrible call. I don't know what we were trying to do with 15 seconds left, barely in manageable field position to make something happen.

I went to the restroom at the sportsbar and I come back and Indy is kicking a field goal. It's my fault!!!

Yeah. I hate Malurkey. What a moron. He's got some cool little plays, tricky ones at times, but it's clear he has no clue how to call a game.

AGREED!! Mularkey to me is our #1 problem and he is a must go, i cant expect to see much change next season on offense if he is still here calling the plays

Exactly!
People are all gloom and doom saying we have no talent anywhere, but I think Mularkey is lost us a handful of games this year on his playcalling alone. Last week was evident of that as well.:tantrum:

well it worked in the JACKSONVILLE game so I can see why they wanted to.....oh wait

It's just amazing the "knack" Mularkey has for calling pass when we should and run when we should pass. His departure would kinda give us hope because we did play Indy tough. Remember Indy ,at home, was 7-0 going into the game so they are really strong in their dome and we held our own except for the timid approach and playcalling.

I know Mularky sucks, but the call is Saban's there. It's up to him to kneel down or not. He obviously decided to ok an attempt to get a pass down the field to try to get in position for a FG.

That one's on Saban.

Mularkey has a lot of faults, but going for a FG in that situation is not one of them. You guys are so fickle...anytime we sit on the ball fans boo, then if we go for it and something bad happens it was a horrible decision. I don't think it's ever bad to be agressive in that situation, the problem is that our quarterbacks just make dumb mistakes.

Amazing!! Lemon threw the pass and you are blaming Mularkey??? I'm not a fan of Mularkey but that was not his fault. We had a chance to maybe get another score, more than likely a FG, and we gambled that Lemon could get it done. Unfortunately, he didn't.

Yep, fans are only happy when a strategy works. Go figure. Fans aren't accountable, so they can be gutless. There are a handful of fans who do see the bigger picture, to those of you, kudos!

Yeah it was a bad throw on Lemon. But how far do you want to get with time for maybe three plays left. No sir, not with Mike's playbook, not with our QB and not with our offense in general. We're not explosive like that. We work down the field and that's how it's been.

Wrong time for Mularkey to be explosive in his playcalls. ESPECIALLY WHEN WE GET THE BALL RIGHT BACK and have some time to actually work with it.

The only thing worse than having a bad offense IMO is having a coaching staff that coaches "scared" so to speak. I know there is something to be said for playing to your strengths, but the second you start running the ball 35 times a game and refusing to throw deep you are basically giving up on offense. We had to go through that with Wanny and I never want to have to watch that style again.

I think you make that move in any situation, but with a 6-9 record and no shot at the playoffs it's a no brainer. There are probably 100 valid reasons to criticize Mularkey, but this is definitely not one of them.
