With all of the focus on the beleaguered O-Line.........

He signed for $2.5 million base, going up to $4 million based on playing time incentives. We could have afforded that.

Maybe he just chose them over us. He said he chose them because they're a contender. Maybe he doesn't see us as a contender

Huh... So the player a choice when it comes to where he plays when he is a free agent? We can't MAKE him choose us?

I mean, like WTF??!!

Are you a Miller fan? Not the beer the player... Are you a Vernon fan? Because every penny you give to Mathis is pennies you won't be able to give to them next seson.... and 2.5MIL IS A ****LOAD OF PENNIES! I mean I know the Titanic history and all, I watched the movie n ****... But to this day, I really believe that what really sunk it was the weight of 2.5MIL in pennies Nostradamus had stashed in it for an eventual OL problem on the 2015 Dolphins... and that's without the incentives.... 4MIL in pennies they would have never let it leave out to open sea... I mean they're not stupid you know... Anyways... I wish I **** a rich chik in a car on a boat some day... just hope that particular boat isn't filled with pennies...

it is widely reported that a team offered him 5.5 million. he did not sign there. he signed for cheap with denver, because he wanted to play there. we had no say in the matter whether we wanted to add him or not. let it go.

Reported, yes, but it could just as easily be an attempt to save face. This is a player that was on a contender, and whined for more cash year in and year out. There's no one to debunk the rumor, and there's also no real reason to believe he'd take less money given the circumstances.

Consider how embarrassing it is for himself and his agent to have called an organisation's bluff only to get cut, and ultimately take less than you believed you where worth in the first place. I don't think anyone offered him more than Denver. This guy wasn't chasing a ring, he was chasing dollar signs.

The OL talk is just to distract us from realizing that we forgot to get LB's for this season.

Ummm lol...

For one thing, its a one year deal, so no matter how much we would have paid him this year it would have had no effect on other contracts next year.

The question I think the FO answered was 1.5 seconds?
Can these guards hold up for that extra time for Tannehill to complete his throws? Was paying 11.5M over two worth 1.5 seconds?
