We obviously need some help(offense and coaching mostly), but can we go from a canidate for the 1st overall pick to a Playoff contendor in one year. As bad as things are right now, I think if we can have a good offseason next year and try to avoid all the injures(plus keep our players away from the Wacky) we could be back to the way the Dolphins are supposed to play football. Thoughts?

Well. One way that teams have been able to do well is to have:

1. High draft picks

2. Easy schedule

3. Good Defense

We will have all of those next season. We wont be able to keep our D for much longer. We need an offensive mind in here...and quick.

NO SPURRIER AND NO JJ!

How about Weiss or Saban? Heck lets pull a Redskins and bring back Shula. :goof:

To many holes to be filled in just one offseason. Even if we were to get the first pick it would take time for a rookie to develop. We have taken to many steps backwards this year to be fixed in one year. This is going to take two to three years to fix.As far as this year it could get better when konrad gets back but good lineman dont grow on trees.

You may be right, but I don't want to accept a 2 to 3 year rebuilding process. I want one year down, and then be back like the Falcons. Except they only lost Vick and we have more problems.

As far as the schedule goes, the teams are already set except for two next year. The schedule is already set until 2009. Go to the Dolphins site and check out the future schedule and you can see for yourself.

Well, kinda. If we're in last, though, I think we get to play every other last place team in the conference.

Only two. We play the same teams the Pats/Jets/Bills play except for two games. This year, we play our division 6-games, NFC west 4-games, and the AFC north 4-games. The other two games were because we finished second last year so we play the second place team in both the AFC south and west.

We play the AFC West next year and if we finish last in the East we will play the 4th place teams in the South and North(which is probably Houston and Cleveland).
