Dont trah me on this but im getting concerned about ronnie from the past couple of games. Ronnie has fumbled more than he has in the beggining portion of the year and now hes not gaining many yards at all. I started to get concerned also when i saw that article about ronnie talking about roty saying i will get it.is he becoming ****y?do you think its starting to show in his game play?what do you think of ronnie?i like him but i believe some of it is how we have been playing tough defenses.Im concerned that ronnie may not get 1000 yards because of ricky and ronnie slitting carries.I hope ronnie gets the majority of the carries sunday knowing we should dominate the jets.Whats your thoughts on ronnie?

that wasnt a fumble, it was a bad call =/ sadly it was a touchdown or 4th and goal the refs really missed that call, and its sad that ronnie has a stat now in the book as a fumble tonight cause of a bad call. Also on a side note he has let the ball go a few times this year but he is a rookie and it always seems to be when he is trying to make more happen than can.

Don't worry man. SD has a great run defense. Ronnie's fumble today was a fumble by technicality. It's good than Ronnie's getting a swagger; coaches were concerned about that in the beginning of the year. Assuming the Jet's run defense is mediocre at best, Ronnie will have a big game next week. You heard it here first.

If anything I think Ronnie talking about ROY would make him more confident in his first season. I dont see him being ****y. As far as the fumbles are concerned, todays "fumble" was a tough one. I for one though he scored, but the refs thought otherwise. Todays fumble was a real close call, I don't know how many guys would've held onto the ball after getting hit like that

well now he has a long run to get roty knowing caddy had a huge day today. i just hope saban gives the ball to ronnie alot vs the jets. i see ronnie having a 100yd game with a td coming sunday.

That was not a fumble. When he dove he clipped one defender, and the ground cannot cause a fumble after contact. Plus his head hit the ground at the same time. That was a TD.

BUT Ronnie has not fumbled that much. Ricky came into the league with a rep for putting it on the ground a lot. He is premier, and doo doo happens to even the best.

The Refs said there was not enough evidence to over turn it, but man from what I saw it looked plain as day/.

I'm not worried about him fumbling the ball in general situations but it seems at the end of games when the tension is high he has a knack for fumbling it.
Even though today's wasn't a true fumble it worries me a little.
Also, San Diego has the #1 run defense. And we couldn't run the ball last week because we were playing major catch up and the O-line played terrible in the first half when we had the opportunities to run the ball.

I think with Ronnie not getting is a combination of things.

1. He hasn't been getting as many reps as he should because of Ricky.
2.Better run defenses
3. He might have hit just a tiny bit of that rookie wall. That could be fixed if he was allowed to run more and get in a groove.

Splitting with Ricky hurts his rythm IMO

A lot of guys on this board have said that Ronnie needs to get more carries to be more effective. A lot of guys also say Carnell is being overused in Tampa.

Ronnie is averaging 18 carries per game.
Caddy is averaging 20 carries per game.

So if Ronnie starts getting 2 more carries per game, is he then being overused?

Ronnie is averaging 14 carries per game.

Its not the # of carries, its that he sits in between

For all of you who say that wasn't a fumble, do you actually believe what Ronnie did on that play can be considered what he needs to be doing to take care of the ball? I agree it wasn't a fumble, but I'm a bit concerned because it seems to me that he could have easily fumbled the ball had the play gone just a bit differently.

I think Ronnie likely has hit the rookie wall and needs to spend a little time going back over doing what he needs to do to keep the ball secure. It's not that big a deal...as long as it gets nipped in the bud now.
