to a degree it was a disspaointin win and 2 games so far honestly. The players that the bucs were WITHOUT and to beat them by only 3 is dissapointing. I know we are missing a few as well and trying to "gel" but the players the bucs had missing were big time players. Our team including the 6 game win streak reminds me of a team that just does ENOUGH to get a W whether its ugly or not other then the one game vs SD where our offense was clicking very well. I raqther have a team doing things well and dominating or putting up numbers and moving down the field constatnly with constant pressure then a team taht just pulls a W although it still is a W at the end of the day. Just worries me a bit.

relax, we do have a lot of new faces , and Saban does not show his hand in the pre-season. We will be fine.

That is exactly what the Patriots did for a few years and look where they ended up. Perhaps not the route we want to see...but so long as a W is still a W it doesn't really matter.

Worried at the second pre-season game? No need, this means nothing and is more of a glorified practice...

Patience... It will all come together...

Why even respond to a post like that..He is talking about a preseason ugly win...:shakeno:
All I wanted to see myself was who will impress the most to stick around....

Yea people wanna see the Dolphins impress and open up the playbook, but there is no need for that. The W is nice but man it truly doesn't matter, we got better this week (on the road on top of it) and thats the most important thing.

Wasn't it you who told me not to worry when I had concerns about the secondary during the game thread? Hmmm..!!, but you're right, I was hoping to see improvement from the OL..I was particularly looking to see if our OL had what it takes because I knew the Buc's had a good D, and this was a good test for them. I say the 1st team Buc's D had the edge in this game. Which says our OL still has it's work cut out for it before Pittsburg..which Blitzes from every angle, Minny did well against their blitz in last night's preseason game..but if we can't handle the Buc's blitz, I'm a little worried that we'll be ready for the Burg's. I'm not sure what's up with the secondary, but it seems like they still don't have it. I'm glad Tillman is starting instead of Allen, he has a lot to learn...I'll be glad when Daniels get back since Poole is out now.

my worry is the o line, they are horrible. Jumping the gun and can not block. I am worried to have a less than 100% qb back there getting drilled play after play.

This has got to stop. we only won by 3? So did Culpepper, Chambers, Brown, Booker and the rest of the starting O play the whole game?

Of course they didnt, so how can you be worried that we only won by 3 when the unit that put 13 on the board didnt finish the game? Not even more then 2 quarters?

Our offense had the opportunity to put up 21 points. Rader dropped a TD pass and Joey overthrew a wide open receiver in the 3rd quarter. Remember TB is probably a playoff team.
BTW, did Chris Simms impress you?
I have a feeling Gradkowski will be the future starter. He's pretty good.

Saban stated that the O-line was working on a silent count for the first time this preseason.
Those miscues aren't unexpected. TB's O-line had problems against our front 7 too.

Remember folks, this is preseason and sometimes the coaches like to work on certain aspects of the game and don't focus as much on the final score.

1. It's PRE-Season!

2. Ugly or not a win is a win!

3. Did I mention it's pre-season?

Keep in mind that Saban is also spending a lot of game time on evaluation, not so much on the score. He only has limited time to make cut decisions, isn't first cut this week?

They kept score? Oh.

More importantly, did C-pep and Joey make the right pre-snap reads? Were they on the same page as their receivers? Did the o-line get the silent count worked out?(It's what they were working on when most of the penalties occurred). How did the linebackers work together? What is working out to be the best rotation of d-linemen?

Which receivers made the right reads (not Vick!) and ran good routes and made sure catches? Did Broussard's poor decision-making on a punt return drop him in the packed field? Which fullback should we keep?(Beasley has good press, but Barnes played great). Who is this Rader guy and where did he come from?

How did the coaching staff do on adjustments? How's our 2-minute drill?(Looked good). Did we try some plays just to give Pittsburgh something to think about?

There are an awful lot of things to evaluate in an exhibition scrimmage ( aka pre-season game), but the score isn't really one of the important ones.
