What do we do next offseason?

Draft a QB with our top pick, and hope like mad that Harrington or Lemon can get the job done while we develop a youngster?

Trade a 2nd rounder to Philly for their 3rd string QB?

Talk Steve DeBerg out of retirement?

Re-sign Jay Fiedler?

Trade for Damon Huard?

Marcus Vick?

Justin Holland?

Brock Berlin?

Hell, I dunno...

He's our starting QB.... So uhhhhh......... we make him better... we really dont hafta draft a QB regardless IMO. Joey and Cleo are solid.

then you let him battle it out with joey or whoever else we may bring in to camp next year.

he will pan out

Did he pan out in Minnesota ? How many playoff games did he win there throughout all the years ??

Marino had a devastating leg injury too and missed a season.. And in his first game back his mechanics and footwork were superb and he threw for 473 yards for the win .. Culpepper's mechanics are less than high school calibre.. It is alarming..

It really is. Footwork for a QB playing as long as him should be second nature like riding a bike. It's all in the mind , but its not for c-pep because he is not an intelligent guy .. He is so far off mechanically it is frightening.. He should sit as he is destroying the club.

less than high school:shakeno: some dolphins fan you are

Already? It is difficult to come back from an injury such as his. He has to relearn how to play his position. I believe his confidence is being tested. But he will reutrn.. maybe not to the old Daunte.... but he will learn how to cope.. and he'll produce.

can you tell me what qualifies you to say his mechanics are terribly off, do you know what dauntes correct mechanics look like. where does he need work, his drop, his weight transfer, i mean things like this are just recycled from numerous broadcasters. i never imagined 2 weeks into the season so many of us would be defending culpepper from our own fan base

Dan Dierdorf for a reason mentioned his footwork is atrocious.. Saban said today he is not there and off.. even C-pep admitted it and that they are working on it..

By the way, I see you are 16 years old and there is alot you dont know about.. There are plenty of high school QB's with outstanding footwork skills. Many had fathers (who are football coaches) who played football and worked on footwork since they were 5 years old ..

Culpepper's footwork and mechanics has been downright bad.. Sometimes below high school level and thats the truth. .

Believe me, the guys right, I am a diehard Vikes fan and i'd take Sean Salisbury over him. Daunte averages over 1 pick and like 1.26 fumbles per game. His footwork is terrible, ive been watching him since he was a rookie. Don't be fooled, Carter and Moss made him look good early on in his career. In his second year, he had Carter and Moss and looked terrible. We went 5-11 with 2 hall of fame recievers and an "alleged" great QB. He holds the ball too long, can't read defenses, doesn't study film like he should, and turns the ball over more than any QB in history. How is that a recipe for success? Daunte should be called "the drivekiller", or "the coachkiller". The dolphin D was on the field way too long Sunday.

our d was on the field becasue the bills controlled both lines of scrimmage and pouned us with the run game. they also DOMINATED the field position battle.

Well, the fearless leader that is Daunte Culpepper sure loves to throw the flare pass for 5 yards on 3rd and 8 and that doesn't help out. I thought the Dolphin D played a good game considering Daunte did nothing at all to help the Offense. Get used to that flare pass for 5 yards on 3rd and long because you are gonna see a bunch of it.

You have to stand by Duante, and put confidence into him, and your oline, so that things get turned around. I think if you throw him out of that position, it will have a bad effect on all your quarterbacks because they will be looking over there shoulders for the quick hook.
