7.a Fred Evans Dt 2006

For the 7th round i used only current guys(well somewhat) Anyways i based the ranking of worst pick based on weather or not we got anything out of the player, and if what we got is what we should have gotten. Also i tried not to include guys that had injury problems or i would have a guy like Yatil Green on there.

So imo here is the amount of terrible picks each coach made, with the limited number i chose.

Don Shula 1990-1995, he made 6 terrible picks in that time frame imo
Jimmy Johnson 1996-2000 he made 8 terrible picks in 4 years but had i made a deeper list his number would be bigger then mot would expect.
Dave Wandsted 2001-2004 he made 5 terrible picks but o yes if my list wasnt restricted he would have led with about 15 terrible picks
Nick Saban 2005-2006 he made 3 terrible picks but the jury is still out on a lot of his players (allen, roth and hagan)
Cam Cameron gets a pass because i never judge rookies until after their second season.

Obviously some of you may disagree, also feel free to add your biggest worst picks.

Damn we suck at drafting still smh at the fact we traded down with minny s they could take moss so we could get avery DAMN

how is yatil green not at the top of that list?

Edit: Should have kept reading... never mind...

How is Yatil better than Toledo though? Unless you are including Toledo because he had an injury history?

I myself probably wouldn't include Evans, just because he was such a late round pick, coupled with the fact that he may have produced if Cam didn't kick him off the team. He's a knucklehead for those crimes, for sure, but it's the freaking NFL, standards here are much lower. ;)

I rank John Avery at the top.

We could have witnessed Marino to Moss.

Randall Hill was traded to the Cardinals for a first round pick after 1 game. The Dolphins drafted Troy Vincent with that pick.
Dont forget about 2nd round pick James Johnson in 1999. 3 years, less than 750 rushing yards.

Some of our worst picks were the ones we traded for QB's and a RB. I won't include RW only because he was great for a short time.

Brent Bartholomew actually looked good in 1999, but he tore an ACL in like the second or third game. Done.
You should probably pull him from your list, if you're not including players who flopped due to injury.

I think it's fair to count Yatil Green because he was always injured in college, too. It was just dumb to take him, and we got what we deserved. Remember when Jimmy Johnson said of him, "he can't help your football team if he's not on the field?" And then, after the draft, JJ mentioned that quote as a point of pride, implying that his negative comment allowed Green to fall to us. That worked out well.

And remember JJ on Larry Shannon, saying that he had the same size and speed as Randy Moss, but without all the baggage?

At the U Green never had anything more serious then a pulled hammy, so there was no way anyone could have envisioned he would blow out both of his knees. The knock on him wasn't that he was injury prone but rather that he wouldn't play through pain. In fact JJ called him before the pick to get an assurance from him that he would play through those types of little injuries.

1.a Billy Milner OT 1995
2. Eric Kuramo(
2. Aubrey Beavers Olb 1994
2.a Andrew Greene G 1995
2.b Eddie Moore LB 2003
2.c Eddy Blake NT 1992

I go that in the 1st 2 rounds those guys have to produce. That means the 1995 draft in this case and Shula's last year was the worst. Greene was terrible and Milner played the his first year due to injury and then was traded and hardly every played again. Eddie Moore in my mind was injury prone when drafted and was the biggest bust scince the Shula era . The Eric Kummerow pick was right up there with the worst pick in 1995 and is a prime example of teams picking potential vs production in college. His teammate whom I wished we had picked at the same spot from Ohio State Chris Speilman became a stud in the NFL and was a stud in college too. My biggest concern with Parcells is that he also subscribes to the same theory that he will draft potential vs production and coach them up which I do not agree with. Hopefully Ireland can steer him differently in the draft. Spears and Carpender of the Cowboys are examples of Parcells 1st round picks in the draft of not working out as forecasted. Maybe Parcells can couach them up but remember he is not the coach at this point. I would like to see up trade down for those 2 guys and the Cowboys other 1st 2 round picks for our #1 pick just to see how that would work out.

i see your kumero and raise you john bosa

Bosa actually did OK when he got on the field and was productive though for a very short time. He again got injured in the NFL but not so much in college and was very productive at Boston college so he was not the reach that Eric Kummerow was. 1995 was the worst and Greene OL 2nd round whom played for guess who Cammeron was out of the NFL the very next year after being a 2nd round pick so he is the worst pick as he was not injured just bad. Eddie Blake was a close 2nd dumb as rock I heard and was around just a short time due to his talent but lack of brains.
