Before I get hounded hear me out. Mike Wallace is a very good reciever, but not for this offense. We are a meat and potatoes, grind the ball offense. Short passes nothing more than 15 yards. Though it was exciting getting someone like Wallace, he is not what we need. This offense needs what we had in Brandon Marshall ( that type of star). Wallace is on the wrong team he shouldn't have left Pitt. He needs to be on a team where he isn't double covered and has a guy who takes pressure off of him. The reason we never progress is Our GM doesn't understand what kind of team we have and therefore, Doesn't bring in the correct talent, Or draft the correct talent. Now I think Dion Jordan is going to be an amazing player. But we shouldn't have drafted him. We do not need D Line depth. We should have given the money to solai and lock him up. Not drafting a OT was a huge mistake and we all know that. There were a lot of wr's like Keenan allen and rob woods who we could have gotten in 2 and 3 rounds. We always draft these small school receivers who rarely pan out and never take chances on Guys who went to big schools and fall. Like the above noted and missing on a fb like honey badger, which I know a lot of you bloggers wanted.
Let the blasting begin. Ireland is a problem and needs to go. He is an average GM who doesn't understand how to put a team together.

We had the WR that would be perfect for this offense, but the dumb ass coach decided he was to hard for him..

No, it was definitely Wheeler. Wheeler is ****ing awful. Three weeks ago I would have said Clabo, but Clabo has really stepped up since Bullygate. I don't have enough good words to say about the way Clabo has handled this situation. I had always heard he was a high character guy and a real pro, but now I've seen it.

Mike Wallace has the potential to be a great addition to the team if he's utilized better, and as he and Ryan Tannehill pull their heads out of their asses and start working on their timing.

I think next season if we have better pass protection and better offensive coaching, this conversation can be totally different.

ill agree with 1 disagreement...Wallace is someone defenses have to account for...we did not have anyone like that last year...he makes the team better than last year just a s a decoy because he makes it easier for others to get open, especially clay...that being said, it would be nice to have a brandon marshall type player on this team at the same time...or a reggie bush, you know a threat out of the back field...

finally, im about to get hammered for this, henne had a better deep ball than tannehill...thill has no ability to throw it deep and hit a moving target...

I think you are completely disregarding all the injuries and issues.

The TE we signed and the slot WR are both out with blown knees.

If they were playing Wallace would be seeing a completely different role.

I'm not saying I would have signed him. I was totally against signing him and I probably had over 20 posts here saying that, but his role has been changed...

Wallace opens up the field for the lesser WR's, and if Tannehill could throw the deep ball, people might have a different take on the signing and the player.

He's been a disappointment as far as concentration and execution go, but we're not able to utilize what he does best . . . Don't think you can blame that on him.

Well if mr franchise had some accuracy over 20 yards then maybe Wallace would be lighting it up. How many bombs have been overthrown under thrown or thrown out of bounds? I'd say atleast 4-5

I think this has been discussed at nauseam on this site. Yeah, the dude is soft, and unfortunately right now we have a QB who also cant get him the ball.

The Wallace signing was an overreaction to another piss poor move trading Marshall.

He was the best option of the following FA period, when the FO realized maybe having Hartline as a #1 WR wasn't a great idea.

Totally agree. When Philbin was hired I was under the impression that we were going to build through draft.

I had a massive issue regarding 3 things in offseason.

One was the signing if mike Wallace.

Two - the release of Dansby and especially Burnett for the less proven Ellerbe and wheeler.

3 - trading up in a draft devoid of elite talent but considered to have great depth through first 3 rounds. When you consider we had five picks in these rounds and we only came away with Jordan, Taylor, Thomas and Davis is shocking.

Top 5 worst offseason moves, in my opinion:

1. Signing Philip Wheeler
2. Not Signing Bryant McKinnie
3. Not Signing Greg Jennings
4. Not Signing Reggie Bush
5. Signing Tyson Clabo. Combined with not signing McKinnie... disaster at the tackle position.

Honorable Mention: not moving on from Richie Incognito like they wanted to.

I honestly don't even think Mike Wallace cracks that list. He is a good player IF HE IS USED PROPERLY. He is not being used properly. Coaching.

Wheeler dude ... that guy should be arrested for embezzlement.

Gotta love recievers that well their lack of production is never their fault. Brand Marshll may always be a head case but he allways produces.
