Some years back the Carolina Panthers had a terrible team that turned it around with the right draft picks and the right trades. A perfect mix of veteran talent and rookie speed and strength, with the right type of leadership in place. Is 2008 the season of the Dolphins? The offensive line has been reinforced with a good mix of youth and expierience, Rickey Williams seems to have rededicated his will to play, we actually have 2 QB's that are capable battling for the spot. A virtually new coaching staff with fresh ideas and a new start, yes I'm optomistic.

It can be done ,but with the Pats,Jets, and Bills..I dont think it will happen.

i dont think we can go worst to first.
but we can go from laughable to respectable

Well in an ideal world...if some spygate revalation occurs before the start of the season that somehow manages to cripple the patriots, and the jets and bills both blow it big time.

Our unproven rookies all turn out to be pro-bowl caliber players, JT comes back to play his best season ever, Ricky blows away all expectations and Ronnie is fully healed picking up where he left off last year. Then MAYBE we might be able to do this.

and no I really didn't mean that all as a joke, that seriously how things would have to play out. I do think we will be vastly improved, but I think we'll be lucky to finish 3rd in the division and REALLY lucky to finish 2nd.

i'll take from worst to toughest

Being a SEC conference man I saw Ronnie Brown play at Auburn with caddillac williams. Folks I think that Ronnie would perform better with Ricky in the same backfield. Both of our marquee backs are like tweeners between FB/RB. I still say run em both in a split back offense and see what happens. Yes its true one may get hurt, then what? Well then we're no worse off than last year, or the year b4 that. I say tandem them up...go 2 tight ends...power smash mouth football and run their butts off. Let the run set up the pass...we'll be movin chains and smokin the schedule.

Teams coached by Parcells -- The Giants, Patriots, Jets and Cowboys -- have averaged nearly seven wins in their first year under his watch. Parcells is not the coach, but he is running the show.:woot:

Nick Saban never had a losing season before coming to Miami.

Yeah, but prior to the Fins, N. Satan had an excellent NFL track record... :shakeno: Wait, that sissy never coached an NFL team b4 us. Chalk him up with Spurrier as a college kid and a loser in the big boy league.

I swear someone made this exact same thread like a week ago to which someone replied the Panthers didn't go from worst to first but from worst to 7-9 and then to first the following year. That division though really didn't have the competition that this AFC East does, namely the Patriots, but also the Bills and Jets who are going to be better teams than they were last year. The South tends to have a lot of under achieving teams every year which is why there always seems to be a new winner of it.
