Worst Wanny Move

That was actually all Spielman, Wanny had no involvement in that trade whatsoever. If you remember he had already lost his peronnel power by then, so you can't blame Wanny for that.

But still, we could have acquired him for a cheaper price.

the worst move was bringing in free agent james mcknight and drafting all these crappy rb's leonard henry travis minor wrs sam simmons jr tolver. Wannstedty couldn't draft at all

He didnt do much for us offensively, thats for sure!

The worst move by far was not really running a quality offense, rather just pounding the ball all day.

If that ties into Ol' Jay being quarterback, then so be it.

Thats correct. Immediately after Spielman traded for Feeley, Wanny ran to Jay begging him to stay, promising him that he would be given an equal shot at being the starter. Wanny never wanted Feeley (or anyone that could threaten Jay's job security for that matter)

Its tough to say what his worst move was.

a few of the top contenders are:
  • The way he handled the O-Line after the 2002 season
  • Drafting Fletcher while Madison and Surtain were in their primes
  • Taking Eddie Moore in the 2nd when Calico and Boldin were available and Moore could easily have been selected in the 4-5th.
  • The assistant coach shuffle he did last year in the attempt to find an OC that would be his puppet.
  • His refusal to even think about trying to upgrade the QB position
  • His overly conservative coaching philosophy
  • His insistance on firing good coaches to give bad coaches jobs...just because they are his friends.
I gotta think the horrible trade with NE has to be near the top though.

I would have to say a second rounder for feeley was pretty freaking stupid.
