Back when we last played SF we blew out the 49ers. It was one of our best victories of the season and some things really stood out to me.

- The 49ers had no answers to Cover Zero. We absolutely smothered them in it.
- The 49ers secondary really struggled against our WR's, who weren't nearly as good as who we have now.
- SF didn't defend the slant, quick fade, or other inside routes well
- We ran a lot of Empty sets and it definitely hurt them in both scheme and playcalling. I think it took them out of a lot of things.
- Eric Rowe played an outstanding game vs TE Kittle
- Deebo was a non factor all game
- We stuffed them on 4th down attempts
- Our pressure packages created 3-4 turnovers (INT's and Sack / fumbles)
- Seiler had a strong game
- Garoppolo is BAD under pressure. Or at least on this day he was bad and he was heavily pressured all game . We knocked him out of the game at halftime.
- Halftime score 30-7
- Final Score 43-17

Some of our pressure looks from Cover Zero or our Nickel/Dime packages that hurt the 49ers

We beat them like that on Sunday and I’ll sell my kidney and donate the proceeds to FH.
I seriously believe that if we are good enough to beat the 49ers this week, we could run the table the rest of the season and the most serious challenge before the Super bowl would be the Chiefs. The Bills of course are a threat, but I think we are more dangerous right now and I think we are better.

They should really alternate home and away venues every match up. Ive noticed this for other teams as well. Always seemed that NE faced tough interconference opponents in their house.

first few plays

Preston Williams..... where you at?
Adam Shaheen and Eric Flowers ... you 2...

Raheem looked even faster than normal in those highlights. He hit the edges on a couple plays and turned on the after-burners.

Ingold will help Little negate Bosa, and we will be fine. Reek big day! I think MM becomes the difference maker known 9ers as well as he does. I’m always hopeful for victory! Go Fins!

As much as this game has been hyped up I hope we have the same outcome as 2020 and doesn't turn out to be the XIX Super Bowl blowout.

Entirely different offense for Dolphins
3/4 of Miami's defensive backfield injured and/or out
2 years worth of free agency and draft changes on rosters
49'ers playing much better this season than 2 years ago (they've already won more games through 11 games this year as they did in 16 then)

I hope your correlation is correct, but I wouldn't rely on it

I wasn't intending to draw correlations aimed at saying "here's why we will win" as much as I was just pointing out some things we did well last time we played them.
While we do in fact have 3/4 of our former secondary out of the game, we also added Holland and Kohou since that blowout win over the 49ers. So that's a positive. Bethel has also been playing well for us on Specials nd as a DB.
I do think our defense played a perfect pressure package against them, and hope to see a similar look today.
I'd feel better if the game were at home!

That 2020 game was played during peak COVID period to an almost empty stadium. Sunday the place will be electric, big difference. It won't make that much of a difference, we'll still smoke them!! Preston Williams, Parker and Shaheen burned those guys, imagine them trying to keep up with Hill, Waddle etc. The ball will be out fast all day, Tom Brady fast, that way the rush will never get there!!

I remember the media in the Bay Area referring to that matchup as a game where the 49ers should get back on track. There was absolutely no respect for the Dolphins.

Now, the respect is there although there have been excuses about Jimmy Garappalo being hurt.

We can really help ourselves if we can get pressure on Garoppolo. He makes lots of mistakes and is still healing up on his shoulder. Whomever protects the QB best wins.
