I thought the last month of the season Traveras Tillman was proble one of our finest players on the ballclub.I know that not much has been written about him but i think Tillman was consistent enough and should be considered for one of the starting safety spots based on his play and great work ethic.

I would not have a problem with that at all. Tillman played very well at the end of the season and it was easy to see his progress from camp till the end of the season. I think he would continue to grow.

With that said, I would still LOVE to have Darnell Bing, Ko Simpson, or Donte Whitner!!!

Absolutely not- you cant have an all-pro at every position. Tillman played solid.

Last i've ehard that Shulters most likely won't be back. Im guessing he is asking for a ton of $. Anyways i like Bell and i do think he will be good as well but Tillman to me showed a lot more of hitting and tacking style then i thought we were getting from him when he came from the Panthers. I still would like Huff or Simpson in the draft but at this point im not so sure , were going in that direction.

Tillman and Bell are both good safeties, and I could see them and a rookie safety rotating at the position.

That's the right idea. Nick is building a brand new secondary and I'm sure everyone will get a shot. That's his specialty.

Shulters will be back IMO because no team will pay what he is looking for, and he will settle and stay here, but I could be wrong you never know

Id rather see Bell on the field than Tillman although I thought Tillman played well

he def should be considered he did have an awesome end of the season and he will be even better by the time the season starts. especially with saban being the coach and the secondary being his specialty

Dont know why some of you are bashing Tillman, youd have to look through the tapes pretty hard to find a time he got beat. The guy did everything that was asked of him and played damn solid for us when given the oppurtunity. Plus he is a big hitter, something that has been lacking in our secondary since Sammy Knight left (although I think Knight got beat wayyyy too much)

Tillman was a solid player for us who grew more comfortable as the season wore on and his familiarity with the schemes and players grew. Is he spectacular? No. Could he get the job done for us considering other needs. Yes.

Exactly....with our front 7, especially if we lock up LA or JP, I think tillman would be fine as a starting safety. look what the steelers made chris hope look like! if the front 7 provides enough pressure on the QB, hell I could be a starting safety (not really, but i'm just trying to make a point). lets not get greedy now, tillman is a solid starter, and Dolphan1000 said it best above YOU CANT HAVE A ALL-PRO AT EVERY POSITION!!! :tantrum:
