...the wildcat now that other teams (in our schedule) have had a long off-season to make defensive adjustments against it?

I think it'll be harder to come out in the wildcat and tottally catch ppl unprepared....esp divisional rivals and ESP. the pats.

however, i find that what most true football ppl are saying to be true and indeniable....So many teams will be concerned with the wildcat and will develop some sort of stigma about the phins in their mentalities that they will be overly prepared for the wildcat and under prepared for our regular offense AND the new and unseen ripples we have installed in the wildcat...so again, i think we will dominate and continue to be the lead inovators of this offense...it will be another historical benchmark that the miami dolphins have pioneered and set the standard for...this next decade is gonna be somthing fellas....

p..s. whose the girl in your sig? where'd u get the pic?

But for how long, realistically, do see us (successfully) running this trick play - three, four years?

I googled the pic. She's tight, yummy. :hitit:

well what'd u type in google haha just phins cheerleader??

i think this year will tell. Alotta teams are starting to develop their own version of the offense so, either it will prove to be some trick formation and will fade out or only be used sometimes

OR

it will still have success and find places for players with raw talent and no set posistion to shine, this will result in the formation being used for years to come and becoming more of a "shotgun" or "spread" type formation, IE, an accepted formation instead of being deemed a "trick" formation.

Honestly, I forgot what I typed in Google...sorry dude.

I feel that our D is going to be tested with the wildcat a lot more frequently

It will obviously be harder to run it because nobody was expecting it last year. But in general our run game should be much better, our whole interior line was injured last year, I think that sometimes this is over shadowed by Ronnie coming off an injury

Yes and no. I think teams will be prepared for the version of the wildcat we unveiled last season. I'm assuming our coaching staff has added several new wrinkles to this year's version (2.0) that teams won't be ready for.

i think we're going to have to do a lot of things differently this year with the wildcat if were gonna fool anybody and run it effectively

So 2009/10, along with the tough schedule, will be even tougher for the Dolphins to find victory now that the wilcat formation is in the NFL radar.

NOTE: I don't want to sound like sour grapes, I'm just getting real.

teams will think we're going to pass out of it now so Ronnie will keep it and look for a hole behind smiley, grove & thomas.

Our blocking looks to be much better if Grove and Thomas are healthy. I see it being much easier to run if anything!

I think we'll be able to run it just fine and at a minimum, be just as successful.

Reason #1 - Our blocking will have been improved.
Reason #2 - Other teams know to prepare for the wildcat, but we are the only one's that really know what is coming and we will have many more options this year.

I think the Wildcat has it's uses and all... but I'm honestly more looking forward to the prospect of just lining up and runing the ball right at people.
