What do u guys think given there past relationship in dallas where bryant and parcells got into heated argument ending in parcels shipping him to browns for quincy morgan
:lol2:
do you think parcells would give this guy another chance pretty good reciever when he is focused if he can just keep his head screwed on srtaight maybe being out of the league in 07 gave him a reality check wut do you guys think

his head was on straight last year cuz he is looking to get paid

no thanks

Wilford part deux

Remember that the heated argument ended with Bryant throwing his jersey in Parcells' face.

Also remember that Bryant missed the entire 2007 season over a controversy involving a failed drug test. Bryant argued that the NFL shouldn't have been able to drug test him because he was not currently playing. And he wasn't currently playing because he was suspended for DUI and resisting arrest.

And remember that in 7 seasons, he has just 2 where he caught more than 44 passes.

No thanks.

I don't think bringing in personel that completely disrespected you is BP's message he wants to send to the rest of the locker room. Character over talent is even more important for a healthy locker room i.e. TO,Pacman,Tank.

The guy had 83 receptions last year so in no way does he deserve any comparism to Wilford. i would not be totally opposed to bringing in the guy, he is only 27 and as long as we dont overpay.

I think this was the guy Parcells referred to as looking like he was out there chasing cars....considering their history I would have to say I don't see it happening.

I dont know if it will happen...and I would expect Tampa to do everything they can to keep him.

But, just so you know...I heard an interview this year with Antonio Bryant. And he said that he got text messages throughout the season from Bill Parcells - congratulating him on the great season he is having and how proud of him he was!!

Parcells is the master at this stuff. he is the only coach ever who could call someone a "she" (Terry Glenn) and then get that same guy to come play for him when he was in Dallas. He is the master at dealing with people. As difficult and disciplined Parcells can be, one thing he is great at...is being able to get passed a past issue when he believes the person has truly matured and learned from his mistakes.

With all this said, I would absolutely love to see Antonio Bryant come down to Miami!!

Wilford never came near to hitting 1,000 yards receiving in his career. Bryant had over 1200 last season.

No way can you compare the two.

I expect tampa to franchise him, but he is finally turning into a real good WR. If we had the chance maybe we would pursue him but the whole throwing the towel or jersey in BP face might change things. I bet Bill still remembers that...and thats not good for him.

hes always been a real good WR, hes just not there in the head.

theres 0 chance Bill wants this guy on the team, and even though hes very good, neither do I.

id rather have TO then Bryant.

This guy is a stud in the waiting! IF somehow TB lets him go I'd be all over him. He is big, fast, and can be a #1 WR. BP knows what he would be getting. The guy is just starting to scratch the surface of what he can do. He would instantly become our best WR. It's a no brainer if he hits the market. TB will have alot of cap room though.

You got that right! Look at how he and R WILLIAMS got along, from Day One.

PARCELLS is a unique kind of players' Coach: it's the way he is. He'll berate a young player unmercifully after a mistake, on the sidelines, during a game, and so loudly that everyone up in the "cheap seats" of GIANTS STADIUM could hear every word. Then, after a few plays, he'll walk over during a t/o or change of possession, and do some very serious, one-on-one coaching. Then at an abolutely key point, he'll call the player over, give him some instructions, and send him back in w/ something like "Get it done--I know you can". And as so often happens, when that player makes the big play, who's grinning from ear to ear, and yelling like a HS cheerleader? Yeah, PARCELLS. Something like: "Yeah...YEAH. (To the player) You see? I knew you were good. I KNEW you could do it. I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT! (To the nearest available Asst. Coach) You see? I told you he was good. I KNEW IT." All to the amusement and satisfaction of the team, and all the fans, who again heard every word.

It's PARCELLS' technique. Tear a player down, in order to build him back up, bigger, better, and smarter than he was before. It's kind of like what SABAN tried to do with M WRIGHT, only PARCELLS would've succeeded.
