Would Ross fire Flores to hire jim Harbaugh?

I dont think Harbaugh quits on the school. If he does, the other boosters would be miffed at Ross for hiring him.

If Michigan fires Harbaugh, which Ross is an influencer as a heavy booster, I don't see why he'd then hire him to lead his Pro franchise.

It's a catch 22. I don't think the Flores contract money or a minority coach factors in at all. If Dolphins keep improving with respectable losses, according to plan, Flores will be back next year.

I think the chance of this happening is as close to nil as possible. There are alot of people bitching about Flores. But these people complaining would advocate for alot of losers or has beens. Flores has a team that is playing hard, there are signs of good schematic concepts, and he is instilling a culture and overall mindset. He has inherited a roster of as low IQ football players or malcontents as you can find, not to mention a massive talent deficit. There are a few good building blocks and then some ordinary guys and then a majority of guys who could be assessed in degrees of below average.

Having smart, coachable, tough football players is essential for Flores to work out and he just hasn't had remotely enough of that. As the season is progressing, he's adjusting. For example, he is weeding out crap players like Kalen Ballage except for a limited spot duty, and deploying more Mark Walton.

The team is playing better, and hard. I'd say there is no shot he's gone this year and he will be a good bet to get four years unless an insane amount of dysfunction sets in (bullygate type of nonsense), which isn't likely.

By far the biggest concern is the fact that we have a once in a lifetime (literally) war chest of draft picks. Herschel Walker level. It's hard not to have a pit in your stomach--instead of excitement--about how these geniuses might blow it.

I hear you!! Highly doubtful we hire him.

Someone said this earlier in this thread. If Ross fired Flores after handing him a poop sandwich and asking him to build a foundation from the ground up, it would be the biggest PR nightmare, sh.t bag thing ever done to a coach. This is not going to happen!

So where are your season tickets?
Ross reported a decline of over 20% of season tix sales. That number is much higher. Publicly he is still trying to save face. Reps within say they lost over 40%. In addition anther 15% are corp owned. And nobody ever shows. you know they are still calling former buyers pleading to get them back. A move like shedding Flores after putting fans thru this season to bringing in a head case, player hated coach who can't win real games. Lol I've got some season tix to sell to you.

I think he would consider it if Flores stinks again next year. Not fair to hang him after they initiated tank mode.

I could see a case where bringing in someone like a Harbaugh could increase sales. I mean, in his first NFL go he took a team from a nothing to a Super Bowl in two years. I know there's plenty of negative baggage there, too, but a lot of fans are going to look past that and just at the results. So I could see it happening, but it doesn't seem likely.

Ross might want to but he wouldn't dare fire one of the league's rare HCs of color

This should have absolutely NOTHING to do with the situation. It implies the flores hire was a PC/PR move to begin with (which I think is highly possible).

The man is WINLESS regardless of race. Winless gets you FIRED, regardless of race.

Ross needs to do far better in hiring a coach who has some measure of capabililty. Unless things are so bad that he literally couldn't give the job away, which is what the flores hiring told me.

I'm not saying Flores has to go now, but if a proven NFL coach wanted the job, I'd think long and hard about it. Really don't like how Flores chased off Minkah, and pulled that dumb stuff with Stills and the music. Flores hasn't convinced me he's more than your typical NE assistant hire, a specialist who tries to imitate what Belichick does without knowing why he does it.
