Would/Should the Dolphins Pass on Carson Wentz if he is available a 8 ?

This guy played FCS and had a limited volume of pass attempts, to boot. And he's going top ten now?

IMO yes Miami should pass. I think RT is good enough to win for us but we have to adopt Denver's motto and build a studly defense for him. Build the defense and resign Miller and Gase will coach RT to a better place. Just my opinion of course. The only way I draft Wentz at 8 is a team offers Miami a crazy deal for RT but we know that's not happening.

If Gase feels he has the potential to be a real upgrade then you don't think twice about doing it. QB is by far the single most important position.

Something stinks here. Wentz could be the next great quarterback, but something still stinks here.

I honestly could not tell you....outside of some late round guys as Matt Moore replacements I haven't looked at QBs. Jut seems a waste right now with so many holes...would just set the guy up for failure.

He won't be there at 8. Either someone will move up to get him or the browns will take him.

For every Aaron Rodgers there are two or three ...what's the name of that QB who was going to a superstar and wasn't? Oh, yeah, Legion.

i agree but that's a serious projection considering where the kid played and how much tape there is on him. i personally don't know squat about the qb but unless he's a bonafide upgrade and drops for whatever reason idk if you can project him as a worthy pick at 8 given our roster

how is this even a question? No way you take him. Unless he can play lights out at OT, LB, CB, S .... all at once!

Huge Wentz fan. However, he is not as good as Tanny right now. Could he be better? Yes, but there are no sure things projecting QB's. He might not be better. We have too many holes to spend a first rounder on a QB that will take time to develop. He will be drafted higher than he should because of hype from Senior Bowl and a fairly weak class. If we knew he was going to be the next great QB then take him. I don't believe anyone KNOWS that at this time.
