A year after Teddy Bridgewater‘s torn ACL forced the Vikings to scramble in late August for a replacement, a possible torn ACL suffered by Ryan Tannehill may compel the Dolphins to do the same. What if the Dolphins would trade for Bridgewater?

While the Dolphins seem to be focused for now on free agents in lieu of getting fleeced by another team, there’s a chance Bridgewater would welcome the chance to return home to South Florida.

Teddy f-ing blows. I wish PFT would stop with the BS.

Start Moore, sign a young veteran back up like Osweiler.
RT has surgery and comes back next year.
Draft a QB in round 1-2 next year.
This team us still a couple years away.
Stay the course and do not mortgage the future.
Signing Bridgewater or Kap would be a mistake.
Just my .02

You have to trade for Brock, no thanks.

We won't need to draft a QB. Once Tannehill gets the surgery and does rehab, he'll be fine.

He was barely competent before his patella tendon ended up lodged in his rectum. Why would the Dolphins have any interest in a guy who is now a medical nightmare (10X worse than Tanny), who likely will not even be ready for contact until November or even next year, who will absolutely blow up that knee again in the next few years, and who wasnt even very good before his knee lacked an orangutan tendon.

This fantasy is almost as silly as the Kapernick fantasy - neither of which are driven by football though, but we all know that, we just cant talk about it. If Bridgewater's name was McCaren, had 3 yrs of average football, and now has a knee of an 87 yr old, no one would be clamoring for this nonsense. But since he his an "athletic long strider" he must be good right? righhhhhht? lol

I could get behind McCarren if the price is reasonable..... he's nobody's unwanted garbage, especially that of a 2-14 or 3-13 team's

Why have only one expensive QB with a serious knee injury when you can get a second?

I like Teddy but there's no way the Vikes let him go for anything less than a 3rd and idk if it's worth it

If this team buttons up their lines, then I am good w drafting a qb and having a qb problem with depth than w lack of depth

It's a different situation. There is no choice of two this time. However, with the $15M savings for RT, and potentially Cousins and Brees free agents, Miami might have more choices

The first thing to understand with Teddy is he would need to be on the PUP for 6 weeks in order for his contract to toll.

Nobody is giving Minnesota anything but a token late rounder if that doesn't happen.

If his contract tolls and he is under the rest of 2017 at 1.3 and all of 2018 at 1.3 . . . .then it makes more sense to look at a trade for him.

I do think there is a chance Minny could cut their losses and not deal with the Teddy contract situation and approve a trade if a team will pass a physical on him. He would be a good fit down here and for Adam Gase but obviously many questions need to be answered medically.

Good to know it shouldn't cost us too much to bring him in should it be pursued

I always liked Teddy and if hes healthy and cheap they should take a flyer on him. I don't understand the talk around bringing in someone like Cutler or even the value of rolling with Moore. Even if one of them managed to put together a career year this team would still be a borderline playoff contender and no real threat to the upper echelon of the AFC. I know it sucks to waste a year of Wake, Jones, and Suh but if there's a chance to get a player that may offer something beyond next season they should do it.
