Call me crazy but I have been getting this nervous feeling that some team or coach would try to petition the league to ban the wildcat then in some off season owners meeting they would walk out and announce that the wildcat is banned because of some stupid reason. Is there any way this could happen? Someone please make my fear of this happening go away! I can totally see someone like Rex Ryan and the Jets owner making a big ol case and using the media to make it a big deal, then if jerry jones and kraft got on board I could see the league banning the wildcat..

NO, then they would have to ban the spread offense that the pats use. We have all the right alignments in terms of number of men on the line of scrimmage. No way do they ban it.

why would they ban it? they would have to ban running the football altogether. it's just a formation.

you can't ban a play because it is successful. It's not something that is unfair. Shiet maybe they should ban Brady and the Pats from doing 4 or 5 wrs sets cause Moss was scoring too much

Why would the NFL ban something that brings excitement to the game. Seriously, the announcers go crazy everytime the Fins (or any team) use it. I think the Jets would have a hard time asking for it to be banned because they have the same thing, just called the Seminole.

hopefully you are just a young kid that enjoys watching the wildcat

Can you give me any rational reason why they would? Don't give me "some reason"...Give me any single, rational reason why they would ban a particular formation?
