he is a college coach at heart and is being offered more money by Alabama. with that said he has a comitment to this team and I don't see how you can respect a guy who walks out on his team, I know this has been done by many coaches before but I can't agree with it

I would, and all of his rhetoric about leadership and wanting to build something special here would be BS. And I would want my money back for his book on leadership. If he leaves, he loses all credibility and I will be glad that he is gone.

I would. The SEC is much more stable than the NFL in terms of coaching tenure (although you'd never know that to listen to the ESPN hacks) and this deal is simply unprecedented. Besides, another year next year like the Dolphins had this year and Saban will be fired anyway.

Not mad for leaving.

Mad for lying about it for a month

I don't buy this "I really am a college coach" and "I miss the teaching and influence I had on college boys lives" crap he is pulling. He has coached in the NFL before with Cleveland, so he knew EXACTLY what he was getting into. He doesn't get a scholarship on that point.

Its really an insult to Wayne and the DolFans the way he has done this Soap Opera.

I hope he leaves and leaves TODAY. I'll never trust him again.

Thats EXACTLY what would bother me. Its not necessarily leaving but playing it off for weeks that there's no way you're going anywhere and denying all the rumors of possibly meeting with Alabama. I know he's not gonna say anything to imply he would be leaving for a college job during the season, so then say no comment or move on to a different subject. Don't blatantly lie. And don't tell me that he didn't know that he might be leaving, cause if he leaves that tells me he was thinking about this long before the end of the Colts game.

Damn straight I would be mad. If he leaves, that means he would have bold faced lied for the past month. I have thought for quite sometime that he would bolt for the job security and the money.

IF HE LEAVES i can see why. Less stress, more money and he loves college. BUT his lying and his word will be dirt in my book...at the end of our life all we have is our legacy. His would be damaged. IF he leaves i say good bye and I don't want to ever hear his name again.

I can't blame anyone for taking what they believe is a better opportunity, if he thinks bama is a better job then he should take it. Period!

I don't think his leaving should anger anybody. We all work so that we can improve our financial situations, and if Saban can do that with Alabama, more power to him. However, based on the fact that he's told Wayne H. to his face and all the fans that he was staying, his lie would be very upsetting.

No. If he leaves we need an Offensive minded coach the coaches to win, not to not lose. Huizenga needs to promote Mueller to Full GM and let him hire the coach.

I am tired of the "Job Security" comments and the "He's a college coach and enjoy's teaching and recruiting younger players" comments. First off, if he wants job security, then WIN FOOTBALL GAMES! I don't remember the last football coach that got fired for winning games and getting their teams to the playoffs on a regular basis. So if he wants job security, then win some game. Second off, if the teaching and recruting issue is so true, then he shouldn't have left LSU to come here in the first place. He had plenty of time to think that over and weigh the pro's and con's before deciding to come to here from LSU and should have thought that part over a little more. No, I don't begrudge anyone from trying to better their financial situation, but, don't lie straight to our faces and then expect us to be accepting of it.

i wouldnt be mad at saban.....i would hate saban, rough i know but after hearing him act so commited and then leaving on the team, the organization, and fans is not right
