OK, ok...I've browsed through the threads, and maybe this has already been brought up 100 times, but I was just reading the Sun-Sentinel.com and it kinda got me thinking.
Jason Taylor for Jeremy Shockey. Maybe straight up, maybe in a package with picks one way or another.I for one, would definitely consider it - and for a couple of reasons.
One - Taylor goes to a top contender. This is a very important point, as I would hate to see him traded to a team that faces the same rebuilding that we do in Miami. He's all class, and deserves to be treated as such. With Zach gone, he would surely love to have a shot at a championship. We are obviously a couple years away from that.
Two- Shockey - while is an admitted jack---, brings a very tough and old-school persona to a team that is looking to have just that. He would instantly upgrade the TE position, and more importantly - give a new QB a very sturdy target and help for the WR corps. And, I think the fans would embrace him, since he is from 'THE U." I still remember his first pro game in the Hall of Fame game - he had one catch down the sideline, and absolutely RAN OVER a DB in that game and the entire Giants team went nuts, including Gap-Tooth. That kinda toughness can really motivate a team.
I don't know. I mean, after tomorrow, all the guesswork is done. So this is just my last stab at tryin' to help ol' Bill rebuild the team.
God, I can't wait for the draft.
Oh, and don't crucify me too bad if this was posted a million times. I love you all like family. Lol.
