I know we all hate these threads but the last I heard they were millions apart in negotiations. Ravens have Suggs/Bart Scott/Ray Lewis to sign this offseason. You would have to think Suggs will be back for sure. Would you guys just let Crowder go and sign Ray Lewis to bring some attitude to this D. And perhaps draft a LB for Ray Lewis to teach for the next 3 years. I mean how great would it be for Ray Lewis to come home to miami.

ehh.. i wouldnt do it. they got rid of zach thomas because he was old. why bring in somebody that is just as old?? i know he still has fight in him even though he is 33 going on 34. but i would rather go after scott. i believe ray will be a higher priority to the ravens than scott. sign scott. let ray resign with the ravens.

I think they got rid of Thomas cause he was old and he didn't meet the size/height requirements. Ray Lewis still has a lot left in him.

Wow, Porter and Lewis side by side. Sounds painful, both on and off the field.

thats exactly what i said. i would rather have scott though. we are still rebuilding and looking for younger guys. no offense to ray. he is great. but he should finish his career in baltimore.

no toooooooooooooo old

we're trying to get younger.... not older.
EXACTLY...we want to sign guys who can be with us 7-10 years, not someone who's at the end of his career...i say no,even though he's a great LB...i think the Ravens ought to sign him to whatever deal that'll allow him to finish his career with them...

I respect Ray Lewis but we have to go younger. What good is an old LB for us? It would be just like bringing back Zach or JT. No thanks.

JT didn't want to be here

Zach didn't fit this defense . . . I know the homerism on this board thinks Zach and Ray Lewis are comparable, but truth is they are not, especially when comparing their fit in a 3-4 defense. Ray Lewis is a top 5 ILB right now.

Multi year deal? I mean I think Ray has another good 2, maybe 3 years left and he would come here with us giving up any compsenation as far as players or draft picks is concerned. If he is all that we were missing, then I would damn sure go for it, but truth is, we need several pieces and I couldn't justify a Ray Lewis addition right now. Now maybe if we get a talented FS and a big time NT like the Ravens got . . . then u make the move, but we don't have the pieces around to bring in a Ray Lewis.

Like others have said, I probably go Bart Scott before Ray at this moment.
