Would You Rather, Part II

Sewell and Chase.

Still need a dominant LT, and a big play WR to go opposite DVP.

Micah Parsons, Jaylen Waddle would be my preference at this point.

...and I think it is a true possibility. Linebacker (especially inside) and Slot WR both tend to slide on most draft days. Will they this year? No clue, but I think it is worth thinking about.

In 2020, the first LB taken was Isaiah Simmons at 8. This guy was HUGELY talked about, mocked as high as top 5 and still only went at 8. He has 7 tackles so far and isn't starting btw...
The next LB was Chaisson at 20, who is an edge.

I think Parsons is being mocked too high.

These two positions are killing us in this year's game. Baker isn't the guy... and we don't have a slot WR besides Wilson who probably won't play for us again.

Need meets BPA and opportunity.

I wouldn't scream if you chose Gregory Rousseau instead of Parsons, as I would classify that as our next biggest need.

This is an interesting thread - I tend to think that most of the successful organizations are dominant on one side of the ball. It becomes their identity.
With Tua, young OL core, Parker, Gesicki... I’m building around the Offense to build a dominant unit.
Give me:
Rd1: LSU or Bama WR
Rd 1: Oklahoma C or PSU TE
Rd 2: Clemson or Bama RB
I would buy a specialist Pass Rusher in FA
That is an interesting take. I do believe that could get Miami a dominant offensive as well.

Unfortunately it's looking like a weak Edge class so we might have to stay patient. Plus Ogbah has been pretty impressive IMO. Even Rousseau is a bit of a gamble with only one year of production in college.

Tbh I wouldn't mind going for BPA (without completely ignoring need) even if it means 2 WRs or LBs in the first round. I'm coming round to the idea of Marvin Wilson DT in the 1st Round. I don't think it would be popular pick on this board but we need nastiness up front.
Wilson probably wouldn't be a popular pick, but he's a very good player and would fit a need.

I would have no problem with Wilson in the 1st round.Depending on what the board looked like of course.

DT is an important position and the Fins are not terribly strong there.

Wilkins appears to be coming along but other than that there is not much there.

The jury is still out on the rookies Davis and Jones and Goldchaux may have played his last game for Miami.

Wilkins and Seiler both had extremely strong games today... now, it was the Jets, so this bears watching to see if it continues.

I agree. DT isn't a strength for Miami right now. Perhaps the team can find value there in the middle rounds, but Wilson would be a nice add.
