So, we keep hearing rumors that Ross wants a big name coach and that he may be willing to trade for John Harbaugh. Apparently, Denver is also said to be open to a trade. The kicker? Baltimore apparently wants two #1 picks. All speculation, of course.

Interestingly, the best trade Miami ever made was with Baltimore. That was the eventual trade that brought Don Shula from the Baltimore Colts to the Miami Dolphins and forever changed the fortunes of the franchise. Shula, because Miami was accused of tampering, cost the team a #1 pick.

The question. Would you rather give up two #1's for John Harbaugh or Nick Foles? Personally, I'd go in another direction on both if that is the asking price. But just wondering what others might think.

How much would you give up for either of these guys? Would you swap #1 picks with Baltimore for Harbaugh? I might do that if I'm not sold on one of the quarterbacks. Lots of good defensive lineman would be available toward the end of round 1. Anyway, slow time so food for thought.

I'm staying away from investing into nick foles

Pederson is excellent. He helps out nick foles extremely well

Last year it was the RPO in the playoffs, this year it appears to be the play action draw play that they ran all night. Hell of a concept to keep those pass rushers honest and get chicagos flying LBs to keep their eyes in the backfield.

I credit foles for earning his big d*ck nick swagger, but pederson is pulling a whole lot of weight

Would love Harbaugh but no. Gotta load up on all available assets to get a franchise QB. Get the right guy and everything else is alot easier to build.

This year's first, I'd consider it. Next year's? Lol, no.

nope neither. I don't think shula was traded for. from what I remember reading was joe Robbie got in trouble for signing shula and lost a #1 draft pick.

After the 1969 season, Joe Robbie, owner of the Miami Dolphins, signed Shula to a contract to become Miami's second head coach. As a result of Shula's signing, the team was charged with tampering by the NFL, which forced the Dolphins to give their first-round pick to the Colts.[42] The decision was controversial because Shula and Robbie's negotiations and signing were conducted before and after the official NFL/AFL merger, respectively. Had the negotiations been concluded before the merger, while the NFL and AFL were rivals, the NFL's antitampering rules could not have been applied.

It was kind of a bullshit tampering deal, honestly. But he was definitely worth the pick.

I could care less whether they have a big name or not, but I want the best coach. Bill Belichick, Sean Payton, and Sean McVay are not available, so its going to be hard to get a big name coach that is good. Most of the big named coaches are retreads, including the Harbaughs. I would take Bruce Arians, a retread, because I think he's the best veteran coach on the market. My second choice would be the older Vic Fangio, but this would be his first ever head coaching job. After those guys, I'm just not interested in the retreads.

I'm all for giving young coordinators a shot, preferably offensive coordinators we believe can build an offense and manage a team effectively. But, I'll gladly take a good young defensive coordinator if he is the best. I think we should be interviewing the Colts DC Matt Eberflus … that guy has them firing on all cylinders. I would have thought he would have generated more interest by now.

Wait, did I misunderstand the question. Are you asking if we would give up two firsts for Nick Foles?

If so, that's a huge no from me. He hasn't been successful outside of Philly. I believe he's a free agent after this season, right?

As for Harbaugh, I wouldn't trade two first for a coach. I'd swap first for him, sure. I don't want the Fins to draft a QB this year. It would be nice to sign Bridgewater to a two year deal and see what he can do, but hopefully tank for a QB in 2020.
