Ok, I'm sure by now we've all read the stripper story and the threat of being cut. Now my question for you is this.... what if it was somebody like Ronnie Brown, or Zach Thomas, or Sam Madison, or somebody valuable who leaked out the story (this is truly hypothetical.), and then Saban made true on his threat and cut them. Would you still support Saban if he did this. Also what if it was somebody like Houck? Just a thought...

Edit: Rembmer this his hypothetical, don't say he wouldn't do that because the whole point of this is what if.

If that's what it takes to instill the sense of family that a team should be, than that's fine with me. No one guy is bigger than the team, and if cutting a high profile guy solidifies this idea to the rest of the guys, than I'm for it. It's the same model Belichick uses in NE.

Hypothetically, if JT got cut, and it caused Zach to be pissed off, and the rest of the team were mad too, then I don't support Nick. But if JT were to be cut and everyone all of a sudden realized they better not screw with Nick and respected him more for it and played better as a team, than way to go.

Saban's smart though, he said what he said to show that he was pissed that the sanctity of the team was not intact. They weren't being like a family and someone fed the media some info. I don't think he said that because he necessarily wants to cut a high profile player, he just wanted to make a point.

So that's my take.

That's a big negative. If it was a high profile player, he'd probably just sweep it under the rug.

I wouldnt support him if it was a good player, if it was a sucky player, good, perhaps will make a point not to disrespect him

Our 'high' profile guys, with the exception of ronnie (who honestly isn't high profile, just drafted high) will be replaced in a few years. i know thats a sucky thought, but its true. eventually Saban probably gonna let a few die hard dolphin players go. it is a business after all.

I think it was more important that he said it than what would really happen!

Its called damage control!
