As we all know, Parcells is not very sticked with Romo and Jones (the owner of the cowboys) as he may be away from Dallas...

In his "trying to find" a new job, there are true rumors that he asked the NYG to be their GM...

I found this intresting since we want a GM and Parcells could be a good one...

What do you think?

I know he isn't Pioli, but could be a good GM...

...By the way, the Giants told the Tuna "No Thanks"

ahh we dont want a gm we have a stellar gm in Rany Mueller.....research please!!!!

Interesting. A guy who openly doesnt play rookies til there mid-season of their 2nd year wants to be a GM. He'd probably make sure we drafted a guy and then tell the HC not to start em.

I had to vote no because my preferred choice wasn't listed:

"No. He might very well be a good GM, but he would never see the rebuilding project through to completion."

I don't think Parcells would make a good GM. I see him imposing the players he wants and not the players most suitable to the head coaches scheme. I think Parcells is too full of him self and his schemes and his style to buy into anyone elses. The GM and the head coach have to be on the same page and I just don't feel that Parcells is open minded enough to coexhist with the coach. These were the things he complained about most of his career as a coach but I feel he'd be just like those he complained about. Remember his little one liner when he left NE..."if they want you to cook the meal then they ought to at least let you shop for some of the groceries". Think about it if Parcells had full control in dallas do you think for a moment T.O. would be there?

I think I d like to have the tuna. Pretty much every where he has gone he has had sucess.

I'd agree with montrealfinfan, if simply for his ability to see the big picture.

He's decent, to good imo at evaluating talent, and isn't as crotchety these days to listen to.
I think he'd toughen up the organization, and team in its entirety.

Change the name of this thread. I'm sick of people posting **** like they actually have concrete information, only to find out it's their own stupid speculation.

Tuna's a good coach but I'd rather give the GM duties to someone who knows better. He just wants to do things his way and not be stuck with players he hates like TO, Romo, Julius Jones, etc. He should have a big input in personnel decisions but not as GM.

Who knows how he would do if he were strictly a front office man, but he's definitely not getting the results that he used to get as a coach.

It took him four years to turn the Giants around, won the Super Bowl, then took another four seasons to win the second one.

He completely rebuilt the New England Patriots, took them to the playoffs in three years, and won the AFC in year four. But his luck began to turn when he suffered his first Super Bowl loss.

He turned the Jets around in two years, but this time could get no further than the the AFC championship.

And now, after four years in Dallas, he is 0-2 in the playoffs and can't get out of the first round.

i think he would be a great gm for us...maybe even a coach again???
