I would do it just because Holt is still very good productive WR. We would have 3 2nd round picks and we would move up to the 1st of the 3rd round. I think Holt has several good years left in him. I would rather do this than sign TJ. We are prob not going to get Boldin or Ocho so why not try to get a good vet to play beside Ginn And Bess. Torry Holt had a down year last year but Bulger sucks. He is 32 but TJ will be 32 by the time the season rolls around. If we get 3-4 more years out of HOlt it would be a great trade . His down year was 64 rec, 796 yds, and 3 TD. HIs worst year in the last 9 years was 1188 yds. He had 8 consecutive seasons with at least 1188 yds, 1696 being his best. This guy makes the catches and never misses games. He has only missed 2 games in his entire career. He is a difference maker. If we would have had him we would have fared better against Baltimore. But he draws attention away from the run game where teams wouldnt be able to stack the box. Plus we then have 3 picks in the 2nd round.

Here is a mock if we made that trade ( just a thought) players I like
w/o Carey w/Carey
#35 Clint Sintim -- #35 Sintim
#44 WIlliam Moore -- #44 Unger
#56 Loadholt -- #56 Robert Ayers
#66 Eric Wood -- #66 Chung/Johnson
#122 MArk Parson -- #122 Mark Parson
#153 Frantz Joseph -- #153 Jason Phillips
#196 Sammie Lee Hill -- #196 Sammie Lee HIll
#215 Maurice Evans -- #215 Maurice Evans
#220 Roy Miller -- #220 Robert Brewster

Either way I think we should go after Bodden, Foxworth, Robinson for a starting proven CB. And I think we keep Crowder as I dont think Scott is an upgrade. I think with Carey if he stays and drafting Unger we would have a solid line. Keep the criticizing to a minimun its just a thought. Holt would be the best WR we have had in a long long time. And NO Chambers wasnt good. He couldnt catch a cold in the middle of December

holt did not produce last year sure the picks look nice but hell no, we need boldin

Actually I've seen worse WR suggestions floated around here, but still he'll be 33 in June before he'd even take the field.. so unless he comes relatively free, as in FA, I'd still pass.

His website and training video seem pretty interesting though:

I'm actually kind of surprised that some people arent giving this a little more consideration. We get one of the first picks in the 2nd round and a top third round pick (which is always a valuable trading chip at the beginning of the draft's second day). Plus, we no longer would need to draft a WR in the early rounds.

Regardless of Holt's age, this is a deal I would think about doing. Will it happen? Likely not. But I have seen way worse proposals on here.

I'd do it. I actually like this trade. It's almost like we give up nothing to get him, lol...wishful thinking I think.

you know what now that i look at it, it might work out we get that additional 3rd round pick and we get 3 2nd rounders and decent wr that we didn't over spend on. and dare i say it, since no one else has said it he is "a bill parcells guy."

What is St. Louis get from this deal? They move up 10 spots, but move down 20 spots later, as well as give up a player.

Maybe if we get a first for the next year in the deal.
