My answer is no. Edwards is not a running back but Ronnie is a receiver. Ronnie is much more versatile and can contribute in more ways. I think that is why team Saban drafted him in the first place. You could put Ronnie outside as a 4th WR. I don't think anyone would be too threatened by Edwards lining up in the backfield.

Would you trade Ronnie Brown for Braylon Edwards right now? I know this is a pointless thread, but hindsight is what it is. This has nothing to do with Ronnie holding out (braylon is too), but more with the fact that eerRicky came back, yada yada yada...

Ricky is unreliable...just when we need him most, he'll probably go for a walkabout...just my opinion...but even if Boston doesn't set the world on fire, we have a decent set of WRs (#1 and #2)...after that it is a little weak, unless Boston shows up and plays like we all hope he can.

Other than Brown, at RB, we have Gordon...capable but so far hasn't shown much due to injury, Morris...hard working, journeyman back, and Minor...hasn't been able to pull himself from the pack of mediocre backs in camp for the last 4 years. KJ is a different type of back, but being a rookie..with the depth we have probably will be a PS guy...

This means that we need a RB much more than a WR...I also happen to believe that Brown will be a better RB than Edwards will be a receiver...JMO...but based on their history...the knock on Edwards has been that he was injury prone somewhat and somewhat of a lockerroom cancer...the knock on Brown is that he split time with Caddy, which is understandable...If I were Tuberville, I'd have done the same thing.... The bottom line is that if you rate the talent equal...the negatives of Edwards outweigh the negatives of Brown...

No? Braylon Edwards is going to flop, of all the players i think he has the highest chance to be a bust. He's nothing to special, besides we already have a bunch of WR's why take Braylon? Why dont we trade for a QB if anything lol...

Hell no. Unless it was for Braylon and a 1st Round Pick. In which case I would then shop either Braylon or Chambers for the most I could get.
:stupid:

Just imagine, we trade Ronnie for Braylon and a 1st. Then trade Braylon again for a 1st and a 3rd.

Then we have 3 1sts, and 2 3rds. Ok so this isn't Madden, but a man can dream...

No, but I would have traded Jay Fiedler for an old rusty muffler, some roadkill, a 23524234263674763422th round pick in the Albanian Hockey League draft, and yesterday's newspaper.

That's all I needed...

Trade Brown? No no no no no no no no no no, and...NO

No way. No matter how much Ricky can be forgiven, we cannot depend on him always being here. Since our WR situation is in good shape, it's not worth the risk.
