I don't know what some of you guys are talking about, Vilma is still playing pretty damn good as a MLB. Yeah, he's 30. So is Dansby. Burnett isn't far behind.

I'll say this time and time again. If you can upgrade a position, you do it.

Is Vilma an upgrade? Yes.

Love Vilma but he's no 3-4 linebacker and when we lineup in 3-4 sets he would be coming off the field. He'd be a part-time player getting starter type money...not a good investment. His struggles in the 3-4, when he was younger, was the very reason the Jets traded him to the Saints. He'd definitely struggle now that he's older and has lost a step.

I don't think MLB is where we need to be looking anyway. Dansby can play SLB or MLB in the 4-3 and I believe Burnett could probably play MLB and SLB in the 4-3 as well. What we need is a WLB.
