Tried to have realistic expectations for the season; maybe sneak into the wild card. But then they had to go 3-0 beating Indy at Indy and beating ATL before we knew they were S***. Over the three latest losses they keep showing flashes of competence that are surrounded by inexplicably awful football. I've never seen a team come up so small in such big situations with mostly self-inflicted wounds.

Before yesterday's game there was plenty of second guessing, missed opportunities, and questionable play calling, but I felt like if they could pull this out the season might be salvaged and most prior transgressions could be forgiven. After being up 17-3 with the ball, after forcing a Pats 3 and out, in the third quarter you absolutely HAVE to cash in and step on their throats. You're talking 1st and 10 at the NE 27 and you run an 8 yard reverse to Wallace. 2nd and 2 at the 19 - incomplete, 3rd and 2 - sacked for minus 9 and then a missed field goal.

10 total offensive plays later from both teams and it's a tie game! We were dominate on defense in the 1st half and ran the ball extremely well for the second straight week, so how in the **** on 2nd and 2 and a potential 3rd and 2, do you not continue to run the ball? At the absolute worst you make Sturgis' life a little bit eaiser (can't decide if I should be concerned about him too yet or not). But this is where the game was lost, poor officiating and all. We could have easily put this game away with better game management and better coaching.

It's becoming clearer to me that Sherman is a large part of the problem. I've been a JP supporter, but if he can't become a leader and nut-up and dismiss Sherman because he's a friend, then I have to say JP is also part of the problem. It's seems Sherman doesn't have a feel for the flow of the game and refuses to deviate from his original gameplan regardless of what may or may not be working over the course of a Sunday afternoon.

I appreciate a place like this to vent cause the wife doesn't get it, and it's becoming harder each year to devote time, energy, money, and be emotional invested in this team. Another dollar will not be spent on Merchandise, tickets, etc until they start putting a winning product on the field.

Yeah everybody needs a place to vent after watching the Dolphins.

Expectations were too high. There were too many holes to fill in one postseason. The emphasis on the OL shows the importance of drafting quality lineman, something the majority here was against back in April.

I honestly expected another roughly .500 season with the hopes of maybe sneaking into the playoffs at 9-7. After starting 3-0 I really thought we had a legit shot to make some noise this year.... I always say that you should never get your hopes up about this team, and I really should have followed my own advice because Jesus Christ this is miserable.
