Danny Crossmen right now?

I know Ross isn't paying attention much to this team, but isn't it obvious he needs to send some kind of message right now?

Crossmen still being employed is a joke if you ask me and is just another example of why this is a business/race track/amusement attraction first and a football team second under Ross's ownership?

Our ST unit has been awful for years. It's just like Grier, always failing and never facing any consequences.

Totally agree, this teams needs to show there are consequences to piss poor play! For......years :bang:

Can't think of any downside off the top of my head. Some players may interpret it differently then others but I would have to guess most are realizing they are on a sinking ship by now.

If you truly believe what you have said on the past, does firing him or sending a message really make any difference in the big picture?

Maybe it will make you feelz better?
Maybe it's just something else to bitch about?

Don't get me wrong, Crossman should have been fired last year.

Just that, as I have referenced before, seems like arguing over deck chairs on the Titanic.

Do I think it would make a difference in the win/loss column? No probabaly not.

So you might be right about the deck chairs. But from a fans perspective, it would be a nice indicator that Ross is as pissed as we are.

Right now we have no idea what's going threw Ross's mind. The Jets and Bears owners have stepped in over the last couple weeks and foced change due to fan outrage. I'd just like our owner to do something that shows he cares, just a fraction as much as we do.

And to the question about "finding something else to bitch about?" Yes, yes I am, we need another topic to discuss becides "you-know-who"

I really think you overestimate how many sh*ts Ross gives about the fan base. It's a business to him, it's out to make money, that's it. Sure, if they won more or made longer playoff runs it would be great, because, well, more money. When Ross gets pissed is when less asses are in seats for less revenue or when there is media scrutiny on the business. That's when things change.

One of my core complaints on Mcd. He seems to value buddy-buddy over everything else. Anyone who's been in management knows it's uncomfortable and difficult to let someone go, but that's part of the job description.
Thus, Mcd's perspective seems to be 'players will like me better if I cancel some OTAs' or 'golly, he's trying so hard, I can't fault him for that.' Everyone here who's played organized sports for very long have seen players demoted for poor performance. In my experience, that results in soul-searching for other starters.

Agreed. That said, he needs to be gone like yesterday. Our ST gets clowned every year w him. Was it NE a couple year back who ran a guy “in motion” so he could get a running start to come in and block a FG? It’s stuff like that - happens to his units more than they should. And then if you just objectively look at rankings like coverage and return yards etc, we are in the very bottom bracket each year of his tenure. I think it’s also trended down from like “real bad” to “total ass” too.

Nothing really matters at this point but one thing. Ross doesn't really do anything involving the team, so until Grier is fired nothing else matters. That guy is a cancer and must be fired and then replaced by a real GM. Until that happens everything else is just lipstick on a pig.

Nobody knows why he still has a job. First two plays on ST's against GB? Giving up 40 yards on the kick off return and then the fumble the ensuing punt, to give the Packers the ball around the 10-yard line. The Dolphins ST's have to rank near the bottom of the NFL, if not dead last.

I'd fire the guy that wanted to keep Crossman.

Don't just fire the moron for being a moron. Fire the guy who gave the moron a job.
