we want ted ginn to be our #1 reciever when he wouldnt be #2 or even #3 on alot of teams

AFC EAST:
Jerricho Cotchery
Lee Evans
Wes Welker

do you seriously think ted ginn is even remmotely close with these guys?

He may have been "starting" this year but when you look at how many plays they give him per game his been our #3 just about every game.

So all the people that are upset over him not being a "real #1 WR" should get it right, because he's not even being a "real #3 WR" this year.

Huh? I think you are saying Miami is not giving Ginn enough opportunities to be #1 but is giving the other WR's enough opportunities. Well, here are the numbers...

Ginn = 18 catches, 40 pass attempts (45% completion), 211 yards (5.2 yards per attempt), 17 run after the catch yards, 3 dropped TD passes

Other 3 WRs (Bess, Camarillo, Hartline) = 55 catches, 68 attempts (81% completion), 516 yards (7.6 yards per attempt), 233 run after the catch yards

If you were the QB would you be throwing more to Ginn when the others clearly outproduce him, Ginn drops more balls than all the others combined, and doesn't go after very catchable balls resulting in incompletions and/or interceptions, falls to the ground or sideline once he catches the ball? C'mon man...

take a closer look at those receivers right now...

Lee Evans...across from him...TERREL OWENS

Jerricho Cotchery....across from him....BRAYLON EDWARDS

Wes Welker...across from him....RANDY MOSS

Ted Ginn...across from him GREG CAMARILLO........

all 3 of those #1'S have been to multiple pro bowls

2 of them are 1st ballot hall of famers

greg camarillo is not even close to being a #1 let alone pro bowl/hall of fame

also wes welker was nothing more than a slot receiver on the phins and would be nothing more anywhere else, hes got randy moss across from him and tom brady throwing to him meanwhile ginn has had a bunch of scrubs at WR and QB to play with him amongst a different coordinator multple times and idiot to coach him his first year

To the lone Ginn apologist that posted above me, those receivers have proven themselves that they can be number one receivers, and two of them were at one point (Cotchery and Evans, Lee Evans is still the number one pretty much, TO is invisible)

What exactly is your point? That Ginn does not measure up to other teams #2 WR's because other teams have a better WR lining up on the other side. What?

Is that what defending Ginn has come down to? You can't point out plays on a consistent basis that he runs good routes, good hands, makes difficult catches, easy catches, displays toughness, etc...so you are left pointing out that other teams have a better WR opposite of them. What?

BTW Camarillo has caught 19 passes of the 21 balls thrown to him. Sounds pretty damn good to me!

Lee Evans hasn't done crap this year and neither has the entire Buffalo offense. He has made a name for himself by being a solid producer in Buffalo year in and year out, regardless of the guys opposite him. And Jerricho Cotchery has had Braylon Edwards for all of 3 weeks, of which I'm pretty sure he has been injured for at least a couple. In these cases, the guys across from them have been irrelevant. And while Wes Welker now has Randy Moss, he certainly showed a heck of a lot of ability while playing with us, with an inconsistent Chambers across from him.

All you are really pointing out is how WR is still an incredible weakness for this team, although you do it unknowingly.

They are giving him opportunities but they are not playing him as much as last year or as much as a " starter " would and he's been getting less and less playing time every week.I watch every game like 4 to 6 times and that's just a Fact..........it's not even up for debate.

Their have been many times this year when we have two WR's in and Ted is out of the game and as of late they have even been playing with 3 WR's with Ted out of the game, does it happen all the time? No but he's been getting less and less playing time every week. That's a fact!

I was talking about his lack of playing time and some how you Link that to mean lack of opportunities when he's in the game..................that's two different things:aww: C'mon man..........

You can probably look at the #3 receivers from those teams and they all would probably be better than Ginn too. Also, for the guy above that posted who those receivers have lined up with these #2's. Guess what? Ginn was picked 9th overall. He is suppose to be one of those marquee players. He could have been a Santana Moss, or hell a Marvin Harrison. He's just too much of a ***** and too weak for a football player to make it in this league.
