dolphins in the playoffs

the playoffs arent that far out of reach people, actually theyre a lot closer than you think espically with the way the AFC is looking so far. i mean look at the front runners going into week 9 in the AFC..

the bills took care of them 25-16
the pats took care of them 38-13
the broncos fins play on sunday
the chargers despite theyre 3-5 record they can do work with philip rivers and LT no matter what any of you say, fins took care of them 17-10 if you remember
the titans come on are you serious?? theyre 7 wins have come from indy, KC, BALT, MIN, HOU, CIN, and JAX. hey everyone, tennesse only beat one team with a winning record and that was the 4-3 ravens with a last minute touchdown giving them a 13 - 10 victory, scoring 10 of 13 in the fourth quarter.
the steelers are the best team in the afc right now despite winning 3 of theyre 5 wins by 5 points or less. and the other 2 victories were against the winless bengals and the on and off texans. so really they are questionable as well, espically with all those injuries.
the dolphins yes they only have 3 wins, but those 3 wins come from 3 teams that analysts all over the country have predicted to do big things this season..
the pats? haha c'mon they lost one game last year and that was the superbowl.... we beat them by 4 scores.

the bills were 5-1 when we beat them, and before the game i'm almost positive i heard the words superbowl and bills in the same sentance... weird.

the chargers... LT and PR can win any given sunday, they got jipped by the refs vs the broncos in week 2 and lost by a last second touchdown in week 1 vs the panthers. dont let theyre record fool you.

now the 4 losses..

the jets.. close game, farve had a very lucky pass if you could even call it that on 4th and long that set up a jets touchdown. dolphins were driving at the end of the game and blew it. dolphins loose 20-14, but it could have been 21-20 just as easily.

the cardinals.. ill give it to them, they down right beat em. fins didnt have proper game planning and were out coached and out played. fins loose 31-10.

the texans.. wow watch the game if you havent, i dont even need to say a thing. fins got robbed 28-29.

the ravens... though chad threw for 295 yards the ravens d shut down the fins run game and didnt let them score. willis mcgahees return home and 1oo yard rushing game helped btw. the fins loose 27-13.

i know anything can happen any sunday but the dolphins could easily be 5-2 right now. the playoffs are not out of sight and people (you doutful fans) should start noticing. this season shouldnt be written off as a rebuilding year. i know the fins have weak spots but so does every other team in the NFL, not one team seems unbeatable to me so far. joey porter is getting this young D fired up enough to shut down LT on the goal line 3 times in a row and chad pennington and ronnie brown are scoring 38 points on the patriots D. the d is rolling and so is the o... when was the last time you could say that? over all i'm happy with what i'm seeing so far. so lets have a look at the future.

mia v den we shall see sunday, 50/50
sea v mia home game we win, sea is 2-5, and dosent have much going for them this season
oak v mia home game we win, oak is 2-5, will be physical game
ne v mia home game, 50/50, close divisonal game
mia v stl away game we win, stl is 2-5, questionable with 2 big wins vs dallas and washington, should be good game, high scoring
mia v buf away game we loose unfortunatly i believe, should be close, hope we stomp em again
sf v mia home game we win easy, san frans 2-6 with many questions that need answers
mia v kc away game we win easy, KC needs help
mia v nyj away game that could go either way... we shall see. will be a game of much importance.. watch.

from the look of the remaining schedule 10-6 dosent seem out of reach and 9-7 and 8-8 are more than achieveable.

as you can see the dolphins have a much better shot at winning more games than they loose for the remainder of the season. they can take anyone in the NFL if they play the dolphin football weve seen in those 2 victories. every team needs a little luck to push them to that next level (a little of what houston got in theyre 29-28 victory) and if the dolphins get some, watch out, we havent had any sort of luck in years. theyre going to be feared in the AFC nearing the end of the regular season. just watch.
remember whose up top too, the guy whose been there, done that. BP

haha wow thats a lot of posting.. but yeah the afc is up for grabs this year.. we have a shot just as well as every other team that is 4-3 or 3-4

It's not just you. I'm actually amazed. The Brady loss brought the Pats back to the pack and, there is no team out there tha anyone can say can definitivly beat any other team in the AFC East.

mia v den -i think homefield and a bye give them a slight advantage but I think their poor defense and lack of confidence on offense is going to hurt them.......cutler hasn't been that good lately.....i see a win......

sea v mia- Hasslebeck is out this week and if he returns he will be coming off an injury against us, home game for us also and they are hurting at the WR position at the moment also and one of their top defenders in patrick kerney i think is coming off surgery......I think it will be a defensive game that we win, or we win big..

oak v mia tough game, I think we get good pressure on defense and put points up to close the game out running.......

ne v mia gonna be a tough game, these boys want revenge but by this time I think our home field advantage will be much more improved.....who would've thought, we beat the pats on the road first.....i say about 60/40.....cassel is improving but they cant seem to block him, joey porter should have a good game again...

mia v stl- very inconsistent team, have weapons but dont show up sometimes....will be a tough game.......a winnable game but will be tougher then some might think

mia v buf I think this is where Miami really makes a statement and wins big on the road, i belive the game is in toronto so we dont have to worry about anything like weather........I think we pull out a win as long as we come into this game off a confident winning streak......will be a tough match though..

sf v mia we'll see, if they cant figure out the QB situation over there by the time we play we should win easily....we just need to shut bruce and gore down.....

mia v kc same as San fran, except LJ wont be playing will he??? i dont know....we'll see lol
mia v nyj -ok, this is gonna be the game that probably will decide playoffs for us unless we slip up early which i dont see happening but anything is possible, will be a tough match on the road.......also i just want to point out something, Joey porter if he is near breaking the sack record, he might do it here because remember Favre helped out strahan on the last game of the year lol.....we'll see, anyways, game can go either way

Buffalo game is in Toronto. Not really a home game for the Bills. We win!!

We are only a couple of plays away from being 5-2 , but that is a mark of a young team...........

I like this thread. You guys put the F in Fans. We do have a chance despite what some of these "scared to bet it all" fans we have around here lately.

9 games to go:

Denver - Cold
Seattle - Home
Oakland - Home
Patsies - Home
St Louis - Dome
Toronto - Dome
San Fran - ?
Chiefs - Cold
Jets - Cold

3 - 4 Cold weather games. This weekend will be our first test in cold weather.

EVERY game on our schedule is winnable at this point. We just need the team to keep the same intensity we saw in the second half of the Bills and Jets games and the entire SD and NE games.

If that other team shows up, we are in trouble.
