Though our schedule the rest of the way does look like we can actually improve a little on these bum teams coming up and then be better prepared for the final meeting with NE and of course PIT (which will be the meters to gauge if we've improved by then. That's at the end of the season too.

NE has a tough next three games and could very well lose to the Colts giving them there 3rd loss and they could lose to the Saints giving them their 4th loss...and should NE end up with 4 losses coming to MIA and we haven't lost and still have 5 losses by that game in MIA against NE. Hmm.

If we were to beat them there, we'd be tied and have the tie breaker.

So the Colts game against the Pats and the Saints too, right? Wow. We still have a chance to pick it up against these easy teams and hope Saint and Colts hand NE two losses by the time we play them again. Plus they do play HOU too.

Darn, so do we? And we play PIT. (sigh) :err:

Easy teams like Carolina and buffalo and jacksonville that have the same or better record than this powerhouse here.

The good thing is that we are basically through the hard part of the schedule. Losing today really hurt though...especially with the unexpected teams in the wildcard hunt (Cinci and SD/Denver) It will not be easy to back into the playoffs without winning the division outright.

Yea, that's why I said we need to win out. With the easy teams like TB and TEN, we can iron out our wrinkles and get back our swagger. With NE facing the Colts and the Saints, we could very well see them come to OUR house at 6-4.

If NE comes with a 6-4 record and us with a 5-5 record, we could beat them in OUR house and come out of that game TIED at 6-5 and with the tie breaking better division record! Meaning, in just 3 weeks from now, "WE" could be looking at a chance at the DIVISION LEAD "that" fast!

We played them hard in "THEIR" house. but like I said, if they lose to the Colts and Saints, and we beat these easy teams coming up...things could turn out US at the top of the division after a win against NE in MIA.

Then we just have to take that momentum on to those JAGS, Panthers, Bills, and then go play HOU and PIT with nothing to lose...just a reminder, the Pats would also have HOU to have to beat too. So, hmm....

With the schedule we had in front of us I honestly didn't think the playoffs were realistic from the get go. Personally, as disappointing as some of these losses have been...this team is showing you they have some players on it. And they can play with anyone. This isn't 2007 were we hangin in every game. That was a total mirage as teams obviously played down to us at times.

This team has something. I think alot of it is actually in the coaching despite all the crap the coaches take at times. Naturally during a rebuilding process teams regress early on if they see instant success. Well, I think this team is further along than I though they'd be. Lets just keep watching, see how Henne continues to develop and see if we can hang in the playoff race. I still think this season can be fun going forward...playoffs or not.

Trying to keep it glass half full boys. ;)

Do not overlook carolina or jax. I wouldn't overlook tampa either. They are going to be really hungry coming off that emotional win over the packers.

With the way MJD is running and DeAngelo Williams as well, it isn't going to be a cake walk. Throw in now all of a sudden that the titans are showing signs of life and it is going to be a dogfight to the end. We need major help and honestly I think we are going to fall a few games short. I am cool with that considering the glaring weaknesses at key positions would pretty much almost guarantee a first week exit anyway.

However, I want to see the maturation of Henne, Smith, Davis and Clemons.

Well, I think that with teams like TB and CAR we can actually eventually begin to bring Turner into the rotation and have him ready by the time we play NE again.

With a few of these TB, CAR, and BILLS games we can develop that Wild Pat a little more too and get Wake more into the rotation and wake up Porter by giving him "less", like Ginn.

I say we'll have our OL wake up again with these next 3 teams and we'll be better rolling by the time we meet NE again to potentially be a 5-5 team facing a 6-4 team for the division lead on national TV on NBC at Sunday Night.

Just keep a keen eye on these next three games for not just our beloved DOlphins but for those Pats against the Colts, Jets, and Saints.

Could be VERY interesting come that Sunday Night game against the Pat "in" MIA on NBC.

Yep...and isn't that the kicker? We had a ROUGH 8 game stretch to open the season with some potentially easier opponents (based on their performance this season) upcoming. And now all of a sudden these teams are finding life, lol. Brutal.

Oops. I just realized that if the Pats beat d Jets, they'd be 7-4 coming to MIA. So we would be 6-5, not 5-5 if we win the next 3. :-)

Playoffs? PLAYOFFS?!?!?!?!

 Well, first things first. Right now, I'm saying that we have a 3 game span leading us to a "NATIONALLY TELEVISED" meeting AT HOME on SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL on NBC against the Patriots again..."this" time we have a chance with TB, CAR, and d Bills to be at 6-5 and NE with d Colts, Jets, and Saints to be at 7-4 playing for the DIVISION "LEAD"!

That is the excitement I'm talking about. We worry about "playoffs"??!!!??? after taking over the DIVISION LEAD 4 weeks from now on NATIONAL TV from the PATS due to the fact that we swept the Jets giving us the tie breaker at that point.

"THEN" with finally coming back and taking over the division lead away from the mighty Pats...we'd have momentum "and" HYPE and a 4 game trail of TEN, JAC, HOU, and PIT for a "let's see what happens" stretch run with the division lead already to win out and win the division.

Of course, we worry about that "possibility" when/IF that gets there. But just saying that its a golden opportunity to at least by that Sunday Night Football game against the Pats that we can at least savor a division lead for the stretch run...and whether we faulter on that last game or so...so be it.

Not to mention, "if" NE slips up and loses an unexpected game, that would then even STILL give us yet "another" opportunity to win the division EVEN with yet one more loss to say HOU or PIT. Of course, not both...:hi5:

Those last 4 games are pretty brutal if you ask me. Tenn is NOT going to be a cake walk. Mark my words. Chris Johnson will put a 125 in total yards on us if not more. Then you have to stop vince young. He will have his reps by the time he plays us. The loss of Daniels really hurts the Texans but if past history is any indication of the game, it is going to be close and tough. MJD is a beast and that will be a tough game against Jax. How hard pitt is will depend on how they are playing and if they have secured a playoff spot by that week. However with the bengals playing tough, it could come down to a dogfight in that division.

The bottom line is we CANNOT lose another AFC game PERIOD. The loss to the chargers may come back to haunt us.

Actually, if d Pats somehow lose to the Colts, Saints, "and" d Jets in two weeks, then yes, we'd be able to afford one more AFC loss...cuz we'd basically have a one game lead by beating them on Sunday Night.

We just can't lose to the Bills.

I am looking at it from a wild card prospective. We cannot lose another AFC game (assuming the pats win the games they are supposed to). We actually have a decent conference record and could be up there vying for a wildcard spot.
