Good. The Dolphins have never really had many USC players. Lower than sensible anyway, given all the players that school has put into the league since the Dolphins were formed in 1966.
I think Roy Foster in 1982 was either the first or second USC player the Dolphins ever had on the active roster.
Anyway, basically this means the coaches and Hickey now prefer Thomas to Darkwa. That's the way it should have been coming out of the final cut. I think emotion took over, along with a sense of Hickey preferring his guy to anyone on the fringe leftover from Ireland.
I'm impressed that Hickey is not as stubborn as Ireland was, while acknowledging that Damian Williams and/or Daniel Thomas are still on shaky ground.
