There are 53 NFL wide receivers with more catches and 52 wide receivers with more yards, but Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker told the Palm Beach Post without flinching on Friday: “I am one of the best receivers in the league.” Parker is confident because he is 6-feet-3, 212 pounds, is 23 years old and can run 40 yards in 4.45 seconds.
Parker is confident because he averaged 19 yards a catch as a rookie and was taken 14th overall for a reason.
And Parker is confident because he finally feels healthy. His balky hamstrings are healing.
“My legs are feeling a lot better,” Parker said. “Those days off helped my legs. I am able to run deeper now.”
Parker is referring to 10 days between Miami’s last game, at Cincinnati, and Sunday’s game against Tennessee.
