One media type analysis of M. Wright potential.

I for one hope this comes true and from the little I've seen of Wright think that as he mature, he indeed has a chance to be special.

Wright

Yea I really dont understand why he is such a project. This guy could be a great in the nfl if we help him.He has the size and went to a big school.

I agree that Wright can be a speical player for us. He just needs to work hard and stay focus of the game. I think that Saban can turn him into a good player that can make an impact for us next year.

Agreed. I don't see how anyone can be unhappy with his selection, especially for a 5th round pick.

Another positive: He is still very young. Probably only 20 years old. I hope this works out because it will solidify the DT position for years.

Good point. IF and I say IF because I am still not sold on him... IF he turns out to be a good player, then that would be TWO Dline positions solidified for years (I am sold on Roth).

You're right. It is a major IF. But is suure worth the risk (5th round).

Hey guys check out this other link, it pretty much says what has been said all along but there is a quote in there from Saban. Also click on Wright's name in the article to view his stats and Bio.

Definitely sounds like he could be a real steal ... I sure hope so. I also found it quite amusing that they refer to themselves in the article as "Troy". I had never heard that before.

Whoa, it seems with us going for youth, Jason Taylor might be walking if and when he requests the big bucks next year.

Big bucks NEXT year? I thought JT was under contract for a couple more seasons, am I wrong? I'd hate to lose JT as soon as next year, he's an anchor on this D and will be a great mentor to Roth (as well as a heck of a partner in crime for a couple seasons...they're a scary duo for any OL)

The only thing I am still skeptical about is the fact that only a couple of teams showed interest in this guy and the fact we came away with him so easily.
