as the season goes on. I do think he’s close to 100% finally. If you go back to the Pitt game when this 5 game win steak began, he’s given up just 1 TD (on a perfect play from Fields) and he’s been erasing good receivers for the most part week in and out (Amari Cooper is a good example). What’s more, he’s been in the correct position on a lot of shots down the field or had the PBU more than early in the year when he was dealing w the groin problems. But what I really like is seeing him w the ball in his hands - that’s 2 FR in 3 games and a scoop and score. I get it that a FR isn’t as sexy as an INT but it’s a takeaway just the same. I’ll submit that the one today was part caused by him as he was the first guy to stick the big TE and then Rowe came in and jarred the ball out (man is Rowe sneaky good at stripping out footballs) and then the scoop and walk in TD. It has to be good for his confidence. Seeing X in the EZ feels real good. We need him playing his best ball down the stretch and I think we’re going to get it from him. The picks are coming

I misspoke about the FF - not sure who hit the TE first but it wasn’t X. X came in and scooped up the ball. Anyhow my feeling on his play remains the same - that he’s improving every week

He's been our best defender consistently almost every single year. He didn't look the same at the beginning of the year and it didn't help that Byron Jones was out while he was hurt. And with the addition of Chubb, we are starting to trend up.

I think the extra week off certainly helped Howard’s groin issue based on how he played today.

I think this is a huge point. Chubb is helping the pass rush and we are seeing more hurried throws down the field that could be or will be or are being picked. The entire secondary is going to benefit here. Loved seeing us get 2 picks today

Rowe is a player I’ve always liked as he is a CB converted to S who can cover TEs. He’s been really good at forcing fumbles too. Underrated depth player w a fair amount of starter’s experience. Can make plays.
Same. Still shaking my head about the game where he was inactive.

Eric Rowe laid the wood.
Rowe laid a hit on him but it looked like Kohou was the guy who hit him first and popped the ball out

Going to rewatch that highlight now

Edit: after rewatching the highlight Kohou hits him first but it was the shot by Rowe that popped it out. All around great team effort by the secondary!

Darth Vader made the initial hit low on the TE and then Rowe crushed him to force the fumble
