Xavien Howard and Emmanuel Ogbah- Press Conference

Two cool interviews for different reasons.

X you can tell wanted the money to be recognized, but also doesn’t let the payday impact his outlook on performance. He’s ready to work and legit seems happy Flo is gone and the offense has weapons. Seems like he felt like the D was performing but constantly being let down by the offense (Duh!)

Ogbah seems like a genuinely great laid back kind of guy and is really happy being here in Miami. Seems like a great teammate and seems like the money isn’t going to get wasted.

I hate that I’m falling back into this cliche “it feels different” mentality, I’m starting to get excited about the “atmosphere” surrounding this team right now. Consistency, continuity and chemistry on D seems like a good recipe for success.

It does feel different. It has every time with a new HC coming in. However, while it always feels different, it hasn't felt RIGHT in a while. It feels right at this very early stage.

Ogbah said it and I agree with him...start strong. They finished last season strong..kinda. Start strong this year. Come outta the gate fast n strong and don't let up. I'm aware the offense will need a minute to gel, but still, try to start strong and keep it going.

The way they handled the retaining of good players and depth players, then as active as they were in FA w home runs and singles / doubles feels really different. Added a ton. Retained a ton. Lost nothing.

After weak starts the past N years it's time to have a winning record after the first third of the season.

Exactly. When Flores was hired, it was different in that we felt the hope that he was going to come in and fix the defense, and he was going to bring a winning culture to Miami. There was a sense of leadership that was missing with Gase.

But with this hire, there seems to be a sense of players buying in, and we haven’t even got to practices yet. Players are excited to play for Miami
